Great wireless remote
I purchased this wireless remote to use with my Lumix G6, though this model will work with most panasonic cameras. You can check the mfgr website to see which model to get for your particular camera. The one difference between models is the cable that connects the receiver to the camera. I like this a lot because I can use this system with other brands of cameras by only purchasing additional connector cables. The cable that came with mine is short and not coiled/stretchy like some pictures suggest. I prefer a short straight cable, so that there's less risk of it catching on something or getting in the way of controls.Build quality on the device is excellent. The brushed texture adds to the look and feel of quality. I really like that it uses AAA batteries, since they are readily available and last a long time. My last remote used expensive little button batteries. I also like the lights on the receiver and the remote. They are extremely responsive and provide the necessary feedback to your subjects or yourself. As with most wireless remotes, there are various channels available so you can avoid interference. I have not tested the full range of the remote, but it has worked flawlessly in all my applications. Since this is radio frequency and not IR, it will work from any direction and through walls. The shooting modes may or may not be useful depending on your camera. Remember that the various modes are only affecting when and how the shutter button is pressed. For example, if you have the self-timer on the camera, there is no need to use it on the remote as well. Bulb mode won't work unless the camera is setup for a bulb mode exposure. I don't see these as complaints, just common sense observation on what this remote is capable of. Personally, I only use the standard mode.Overall, this is an excellent reliable wireless remote at a great price, and it has the additional benefit of working with other camera systems just by getting the appropriate cables.

Not for burst mode but excellent for everything else.
I got this in hopes of doing bulb shooting, for astrophotography and it works quite well for that, doing a pair of roughly 10-minute exposures to get star trails and a sharp landscape from being able to use f/4 or f/5.6 apertures for enhanced sharpness. Normal single photo mode is also useful, great for when it comes to taking portraits and settings in medium-low-light conditions such as interior settings. However, there is a big problem when it comes to burst mode - it's limited to just 1 photo per second no matter what the camera setting is (I always have it on 6 photos per second). I've got both the camera and the remote both set on burst mode and it's still limited to 1 photo per second (holding the shutter button down at the 2x keeps a constant 2 photos per second for even 20 minutes so the limitation is with the remote and not the memory card or camera). Thus, use the burst mode for something like 30x time lapse photography, not the 15x, 7.5x, or even 5x I was hoping to be able to get.One other issue I've had with it is that the connecting cable doesn't seem to always keep a firm connection - I've had to reseat the cable a few times to get it to work but when it does work, it works very well.

Works perfectly with my Panasonic GX8 and GH5 cameras
This is a terrific remote shutter adapter for Panasonic cameras. I use it with a Panasonic GX8, which was not one shown as compatible with this Pixel Oppilas unit. However, the Pixel Oppilas RW-221 works perfectly with the GX8, snapping photos and starting videos, depending on the mode selected on the camera. I tested all the settings on the handheld remote and they all work as expected: single shot, multi-shot, bulb and timer. The Pixel Oppilas unit is small, came with all necessary batteries and is MUCH less expensive than the remote controller Panasonic sells.Using the Pixel Oppilas RW-221, the button on the remote works just like the camera's own shutter button. You press halfway to focus, then press all the way to activate the shutter. The quality of the Pixel Oppilas unit feels fine, although there's only so much quality a device of this price can have. Still, I don't expect it to fail anytime soon.Update: I also have a Panasonic GH5 camera, which I mostly use to shoot video. This Pixel Oppilas works perfectly to start/stop a video take, which I've done from as far as 25 feet (8 meters) away. It's really handy to have when I am in the shot but don't want to be seen walking back and forth to the camera -- a real time-saver.Update #2: I now also have a Panasonic GH8 and a Panasonic G9 Mark II camera, and the Pixel Oppilas works perfectly on both of them. I actually use this remote control a fair amount, and it really is handy to have with my Panasonic cameras.I highly recommend the Pixel Oppilas RW-221.

Easy to use but cheap; arrived with broken button
Used with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. Easy to set up and has several functions. The camera unit is a bit large. Uses standard AAA batteries, but the channel changer on the remote is inside the battery compartment. Mine arrived with a broken button on the remote, so it was constantly half-pressed. It overall feels cheaper and less durable than the JJC-JMD model that I chose after returning this one.
