Universal Steering Wheel Brake Lock Anti-Theft Retractable Double Hook Car Clutch Pedal Lock for Car Truck SUV Van Security with 3 Keys

2022 Ford F350 Superduty. I purchased the 33.5 Max length version and it was plenty long enough. The steering wheel is thick in this vehicle, and I have a thick wheel cover on top of that, but the hook still fits fine over the wheel; I just have to hook it into the small wheel opening under the sound system or cruise control buttons where its a bit thinner. Not a major inconvenience. This is a very solid well made sturdy item, I drop the adjustable wheel to its lowest position when putting it on, but the difference between upper and lower positions of the wheel might not loosen it enough to enable it to be pulled off using this method anyway. I think if the club is locked on tightly with the wheel in the highest position, and then the wheel is dropped to its lowest position, it still probably wont be enough to get it off the pedal or wheel, but I have yet to really work at that. Better safe than sorry, though. All in all a great purchase to add another single security puzzle piece to make a car thief shake his head and walk away. My only minor complaint is that the key can be difficult to align in the dim lower recesses of the drivers compartment. Once in, the tumbler activates easily and smoothly, though. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.

I got this wheel and break lock after my 2019 Hyundai Elantra was stolen. It's a really great product--it feels very well built, fit that car well, and made me feel much more comfortable given the 2019 Elantra was the most commonly stolen model the past 3 years running. If someone really wanted to steal your car they probably could, but this is an excellent deterrent. (To make it an even better deterrent, I added glow in the dark tape to the steering wheel hook to make it easier to see.) It is heavy though, so probably not for the elderly or people with limited mobility. HOWEVER, it is not universal. I replaced my 2019 Elantra with a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, and this lock does NOT fit. It is not a length issue--the problem is that the lock is straight, and the steering column is angled. There is no straight line between the wheel rim and the brake pedal. To make it work, I could lower the steering column to an uncomfortable height (and I'm short, so that's probably impossible for most people). If you have a vehicle where the steering column would block a straight line between the top of the brake pedal and the bottom of the steering wheel, you would be better off with a steering-wheel-only device.

The item seemed to be well made and functioned pretty good. My biggest concern however were/was the keys. They look very cheaply made almost like they were stamped out of thin metal. So my fear is if the key breaks off in the lock while it's locked onto my car I'm looking at a rather expensive locksmith bill. So I decided to return it and look for something else.

Good quality, seems very well built. Combination lock avoids another key to keep track of and also seems very well built. Large enough for a full size SUV and a full size truck. I like it so much I bought another for my other vehicle + the matching steering wheel lock for added security.

Incredibly easy to use. Does a great job in securing the steering wheel and keeping it from turning.

I really wanted to like this anti-theft device—it has the potential to be great—but unfortunately, it’s fundamentally flawed. On my unit, the lower portion of the locking bar doesn’t actually secure when the lock is in the “locked” position. That means it can be easily defeated, which defeats the whole purpose of an anti-theft device. I’ve confirmed I’m using it correctly and even made a video showing the issue. Unless I’ve missed something significant (which seems unlikely after careful testing), the product simply doesn’t work as intended. I’m currently in the process of returning it. I sincerely hope the manufacturer addresses this defect in a future version, because the overall concept is solid. If they do fix it—and I haven’t already replaced it with a working alternative—I’d gladly give an updated model another try. As it stands, though, I would strongly caution against relying on this device for vehicle security. It’s a clever idea that just isn’t ready for prime time. If I could give it zero stars, I'm sorry to say I would in it's current state, because it is dangerously ineffective for the intended purpose.

This is a very good product. It is extremely strong, made of thick steel, and it doesn't rust or degrade if it gets wet or misused. In fact I have two different locks for each of my cars and I can see that each has its benefits. This one has a key rather than a combination, which is fine, because the key is a high security one and works well. The best thing about this one, however, is that it has a very small footprint. It collapses down to just over a foot long which means it can fit easily in the side pocket in the door of the car. This makes it very convenient by comparison with most of the alternatives, which are too long. For my purposes, I think its very good.
