These are perfect for my apartment! High quality and heavy/dense, so you know they will last. They don't do as great of a job with noise reduction from setting weights down as I would have hoped... I still need to set my kettlebells down gently as to not disturb my downstairs neighbor. I was thinking of putting a rubber drainage mat under it to help with the impact a little more but haven't tried that yet. Very cool pattern and color with the specs. The off gassing/smell wasn't as bad as I thought from what I was reading. You can smell it when. You walk in my small apartment, but it's mild and you get used to it after a minute and can't smell it at all. It smells like a gym... Not like toxic gas. I can tell that after some time the smell will go away. Either light a candle and spray febreez until then, or just deal with the minute of mild smell. I'm in a studio apartment and it doesn't bother me... So if youre worried about it stinking up your garage, just get over it.
