Fits in between my tv and wall mount saving the day I bought a new tv and put it on the wall were my old one was and realized that they moved the ports around and my mount goes right over the optical outlet.

I had a couple of tight spots with hard to reach TOSLINK connections. Rather than bend the cable too much (which has proven disastrous to me in the past), I went looking for a good right angle adapter.This particular model has a swivel piece which allows the input side to swivel a full 360, which is great not only for fitting odd angles, but helps reduce stress on the cable.I ordered several, and they all worked like a charm! Cheap. Effective for a decent amount of time. Overall quality is lacking but it’s straight from China! It did really well until it developed an intermittent sound. Stopped using it and it solved my skipping sound issue.i would buy it again but I just got a longer optical cable.

I have a Toslink port on a wall plate that just happens be right behind a bookcase. For my needs, this adapter is perfect. The adapter is just a little bit thicker than my baseboard, but I'm able to push the bookcase as close as I was before adding the Toslink connection. The adapter is able to freely swivel 360 degrees at the male connection point, which makes it extremely flexible. You can rotate it to aim it in whichever direction you want the Toslink cable to go. Most importantly, the connection seems solid. I've had no issues with the adapter jeopardizing the integrity of my digital audio connection.The only con I could see is if the bulk around the adapter's connection is too large for some devices that have a bunch of connectors close to each other. I think you would have the same issue if used any of the Toslink cables with "premium" connectors, which seem slightly larger. Thankfully, for my needs, that's not the case.

So I purchased a 2023 Samsung QLED TV & these TVs are getting thinner, which means the port spaces are as well & guess what, my standard optical cable did NOT fit b/c of the tight spacing b/t the port itself & the TV. I had no choice but to order this adapter (note that the optical cable is just a regular one you can get from monoprice or w/e, nothing fancy) & thanks to this adapter, I can use my cable again. HIGHLY recommend buying one of these if you get a new TV that's QLED/OLED just in case you run into the issue I did.

One end fits into the device OK but the end the cable goes into is not molded right. Makes for a bad connection with choppy audio. Useless and not returnable.

I know that the optical sound cable is a rarely used sound output option. But I found myself in one of the rare occasions with a wall mounted television. That meant that there was not much space between the wall and the the optical port. It more than likely would result in damage to the cable and or port, if I even could get it connected. This part eliminates all that and I was able to connect my cable with easy. There is no drop in sound when using this part. It is an easy fix to an otherwise big problem. If you have a low profile wall mounted television, with an optical audio cable connection, then this part is a necessity for you.
