This system is great because my puppy has room to move without being able to climb on my in the car. I prefer this style as the seat belt clip attachments position her to closely to me and she is still able to reach me enough to interfere with my driving. The stretch provided in this leash also allows some give that will provide extra comfort for my puppy if she moves suddenly as opposed to a stiff jerk.I use this item as a leash all the time as well. My puppy is about 25lbs and I haven’t had a single issue leash training her and the elastic in the leash has held up very well when she pulls (she is still learning leash walking etiquette).I love the dual functionality of this leash/car seat restraint. It’s super easy to use in the car and makes it easy to switch back and forth when I take her on walks. I would definitely order these again if the need arises. I ordered a pack of two. I’ve only used one so far and I’ve had no problem with them. The quality is really great, the materials are strong, and I don’t foresee needing to buy more.

These are great. I had one but we moved it to my wifes car when we adopted a dog so I got this 2 pack for my FJ Cruiser. For bigger dogs you definitely want to shorten them as far as they go. Our Pinscher mix has and will chew through about any leash that isnt metal so i can guarantee these are not chew proof, however, she has not touched these as she doesnt do that chewing in the car (plus these attach to their back when wearing a harness). I’d rather she chew through this than hurt her teeth on a coated wire leash (& those don’t have the cool stretch portion that these have which is quite firm so i feel if you were in an accident it would at least lessen the jerk to a stop for the dog a little bit). The safety lock is a great feature so you know its buckled and will stay that way. Will certainly buy again if anything wears out on these, which aside from dog chewing I don’t see that happening. They are well made.

Don't buy a dog restraint which doesn't have some stretch to it: if the dog were to jump out of the car with the restraint still on (before a "break"/release command it might cause pain and require some struggle to release it. If I had to hit the brakes hard or if I were rear-ended, this would keep him safe; but it will also mean that the groceries in the front seat or "way back" would be safe if I had to leave the car for another errand.

They work so well I bought another pair for my other car. These are so easy to use and adjustable. Keeps my dog tethered so she doesn’t jump around in the car and I feel safe knowing she is still able to move around but not cause an accident. I like the fact that you can lock the strap so it doesn’t pop off. One of my dogs tried to chew through it but it didn’t break. Just broke the material but still works! I recommend these to all pet owners!

These are helpful in keeping my new standard poodle puppy in the car, however I wish there wasn't so much play in them. I needed something that would keep him in 1 seat. He's still able to jump on my son, and into the cargo area of my car. Otherwise, it's good.

These give me peace at mind to know my dog is strapped in and secure if we were to get in a wreck. I don’t think they’re the absolute safest way to travel with a dog, but for my 50 lb. Golden Pyrenees mix puppy, this is just what we needed for our 5 hour road trips. He doesn’t mind it at all and still allows him to lay down easily. Highly recommend!

I love this seat belt. I had bought a heavy duty one which had to be hooked up to the seat belt and it was more restrictive in her movement which may be good but this one just slides over the headrest and I pushed the headrest down to secure it even more. It gave her room enough to lie down and was able to move around more in the back seat. Glad they come with two one for each car.

These are really good to have. So far so good. My big bully hasnt been able to chew them yet. I wished they were a little shorter. They dont exactly hold my dogs in place but at least they keep them inside the vehicle and from jumping out windows.
