A Safe Easy to Use Product that Works for Two Yapping Small Dogs!Delivered 11/29/2020, charged units with USB charger, placing on dogs on Tuesday, 12/02/2020. The overnight charging lasts the approximately 4-6 hours we leave the collars on our dogs. The adjustable strap (collar) online description shows it to be 8-27” long (quite amount to cut-off for a small dog), but it is durable, the thickness is strong enough to hold the spray device, but not too thick or heavy for our two small dogs. Suggested by professional dog trainers to stop your dog from barking is you remove the motivation for your barking, (remove or limit the dog’s view of people or other dogs). In our situation this would require replacing our wrought-iron fence that opens up to a beautiful common area with fountains; additionally, we have a public sidewalk (popular walking trail) on the other side of our backyard, neither an option. Shock collars were not an option for me. However, I have been using a water spray bottle, spraying their faces, using the word “quiet” simultaneously, and when or if they stopped barking, I would give them a treat. The problem with this method, it was difficult to catch up with them as they ran along our wrought-iron fence, enabling a spray in the face and catching them directly in the act of barking. Since both dogs already exhibited a dislike for having water sprayed in their face, the Spray Training Collar was a product/training tool that I decided to try. It was obvious the first time they barked they felt the spray, as the younger (7-month old) turned her head in surprise, the older (9-year old) just put her ears back with a look of disbelief. Currently I am testing the spray collars by placing them on our two dogs in the morning, observing their reactions when the spray is initiated by barking, and removing the collars early evening. It’s been 13-days of evaluating spray collars, and there is a tremendous improvement. The dogs still initiate a bark occasionally, usually at the front door bell ring, but they shake their heads, ears go back and they stop quickly. We do not leave them on the dogs all the time, only during peak times of the day when people are walking near our backyard in the common areas. This is a great product and with my youngest (7-month old puppy) will share with others in my puppy classes. It is working for my two small yapping dogs, thanks for developing a product that is safe to use and works!UPDATE: 2/4/2021 After submitting this review, the product stop working for our dogs. Our dogs probably just got used to the spray because it does not spray much. It's possible the sprayer just quit spraying as much as at beginning.

This collar was so helpful with barking for my dog until it just stopped working. I got this collar in March and stopped working in June. It just stopped spraying. Too late to return.

This worked the first day or so for my Bella, she was sprayed the first day and stopped barking immediately. The second day it sprayed her and she didn’t like it but it didn’t bother her as much. Third day she didn’t care at all. Bentley never was phased by the collar he kept barking, however I felt like his collar didn’t spray as much as Bella’s did. Dogs are all different but unfortunately this one was not the solution for my dogs.

It is easy to use, safe, and stops the dog from barking. When my dog wears the collar he is able to meet other dogs which is all he wants to do anyway. I don't use it all the time, but I will use it when I see a dog approaching with whom we have had trouble socializing. We are also able to use it in the backyard to arrest the barking.

I have 3 or 4 different "spray" name brand collars from the past 10 years. They all took batteries where this one is rechargeable. I was constantly replacing the batteries then they would stop working after a year or so. Now I have a dog whose bark turns into a howl, a piercing sound that drives us crazy. I have bought so many different collars and none did any good. When I saw this on sale at half the price I remember paying for this type of collar before, I thought if it doesn't work, I'll send it back. Great news! It works! It is best to try it on the dog after filling the spray because my just blowing on it or barking at it doesn't do it. This came with 2 collars. One solid black and one with a neon stripe down the center. Easy to use, easy to see if it needs recharging. At last, a collar that works.

This product worked really well at stopping my dog from barking. Unfortunately, with the two that I've owned, they lasted for 2 and 4 days respectively before failing. I tried cleaning the spray port, fully charging with both electricity and citronella - still an outright failure after less than a week each time.The company replaced the failed unit promptly the first time. The second time, I kind of gave up on the product. Its not helpful to have to replace this every few days, re-fit the new collar to my dog, and deal with a gap in bark collar coverage while waiting for yet another replacement to arrive.It's a great concept, but the execution is really unreliable. At this price point, that's a huge bummer. Perhaps similar concepts from other manufacturers are more reliable?

My daughter, who lives in a small NYC apartment, recently adopted a tiny Yorkie. It turns out that the Yorkie barks a lot and my daughter was concerned that her neighbors might complain about it. My daughter tried a vibration collar but it didn't work. Since Citronella Collars worked well for my two large dogs, I purchased this one for my daughter and it works beautifully. Instead of barking incessantly at noises, her Yorkie will just bark once and immediately stop barking when the citronella sprays out of the collar.Regarding my 2 big dogs? My concern was about them barking a lot in our back yard because I have a neighbor who complained about the barking 5 years ago. The citronella collars stopped my dogs' barking problem and no one's complained since. In fact, I no longer have to put the citronella collars on my dogs at all because they seemed to have learned from the collars to bark less while outside (except when they see or smell a fox on the other side of the fence, in which case all bets are off).I highly recommend citronella collars as better than vibration or shock collars.

The spray was very effective, made my dog think twice before barking...right until it stopped working. Now barking or me 'woof'ing at it will make it click but it won't spray, despite being filled, charged etc as per the instructions (which worked for 3 months).It's a lot of money for something which lasts such a short time.

Useless for stopping incessant barking as the smell didnt last long enough. Easy enough to use but after 2 barks she learnt that then there was no more smell left so continued barking. I would not recommend it at all

Our dog did not find this collar at all acceptable and would not ware it. In hindsight I do not blame him and actually have grave doubts as to its suitability. We returned it for a refund to Amazon.

It wasn't good because worked on the dog after twice using did stop him barking

Works a treat on our noisy Greyhound. Not cheap to buy but worth every penny !
