Took a little work to figure out the controls completely and boy is the alarm loud, but works great!

I love this thing! I have been using a meat thermometer for several years, and it does take the guesswork out of achieving the correct doneness. However, when I am smoking meats, each opening of the lid to check internal temperature risks affecting the quality. Now I just have to glance at the thermometer outside the smoking chamber to know when it's time to ring the dinner bell.

Great for checking temp of meats when using Airfryer.Battery protection tape was not in place when it arrived. I hope battery holds out a good long life...I love the thermometer.

So, I saw my MIL using a meat thermometer similar to this one while making chicken. After years of thinking that meat thermometers were lame or unnecessary, I decided to get one and try it out - mostly because her chicken came out absolutely delicious. I looked around and decided on this one as it had a lot of great features.Needless to say, being a novice griller, I needed this beauty. So far, we’ve been making perfectly juicy chicken, medium and mid-rare steaks, and great burgers on the grill without having to cut open the meat to check the cook. I love this thing and I’m glad I bought it. Can’t wait to use it for the holidays.

You won’t be disappointed. I love the detachable probe. It’s great for oven and air fryers (that resembles toaster ovens).

First of all this has a ridiculously loud alarm for all these neat settings that doesn’t seem to be able to be silenced. Drove me nuts. But seemed to be good quick temp read fine okay. One day after drying this was sitting in drying rack. It starts making this odd beeping sound I’d never heard. I grab it and it’s super hot. My boyfriend had to rip open the casing and the battery had leaked and fused into the base and had to be pried off to stop the impending explosion from the thing because it was super freaking hot. Anyway- yeah would not recommend sadly. The design of it was super cool but it almost burnt my house down thank god I happened to be present and we diffused the literal situation.
