Four Devices to Three TV’s: Works with ARC For Soundbar – Just Needed The Firmware Upgrades
I bought this matrix splitter as I have four devices that need to be shared between three TV’s. There are not many products (Three in this price range) that provide this functionality, so I checked out the company websites which led me to this one. There are not many reviews of this product, with the only real review suggesting that arc did not work with their TV. I am not a electronics expert, however, I did find it strange as the sound bar is direct from the TV and does not pass through the matrix. So I connected it up and was initially very impressed, I now had the ability to have my TV provider on any of the TV’s and never again have the main TV monopolised by one games console. And the soundbar worked, well for a short period. Right up until I unplugged the devices to sort out the mess of cables behind the unit. This was highly frustrating as it seemingly had worked and the packaging said ‘with ARC and CEC’.I tried to reset the soundbar, however, the soundbar app suggested that ‘a device was interfering with the HDMI connection’. As soon as the cable from the matrix was disconnected the soundbar worked? After unsuccessfully trying to resolve the issue. I contacted the technical support, late on a Saturday evening, through their website. I received an email from their support team the following Monday with Firmware upgrades.I connected the matrix to my router and had to work out the appropriate IP address from the devices connected to router. Once I had the right IP address, the instructions for accessing and using the web user interface were straight forward and I installed the three updates one at a time in the order advised by the support team. This resolved the communication between my main TV and the soundbar and I now have my surround sound working as before with the TV remote.A few days later, whilst watching a streaming service, we noticed that the audio wasn’t working properly. We could only here the background music and not the program dialogue. I accessed the Web UI and changed the EDID setting for the input device to Smart EDID (as we don’t have a 4K TV yet) and the dialogue audio returned. To date things are working as I require. The only things I would suggest to AV Access is that they add either a link on their website to the firmware upgrades with instructions or add a comment to their FAQ regarding what firmware upgrades are available for their devices.

Superb!.... but I had to replace old Neet extenders with AV Access ones
This Matrix works really well with the following combination of extenders:For my 4k UHD TV I use the AV Access Professional 4x4 4K@60Hz HDMI Matrix Splitter - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08FJ4FKB7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1For my 1080p TV's I use AV Access 164ft (50m) HDMI Extender FullHD 1080p@60Hz with IR - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07H8Y5JF4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The downscaling works well but you cannot actually set each output to a different resolution, the matrix does that for you. You can only set the Matrix to copy the resolution capability of one of the outputs, for example if you are using a 4k TV you tell the matrix to copy the EDID information from that device. The matrix will then cleverly send the 4k signal to the 4k TV and then downscale for the other TV's. Making changes via the web interface is awesome compared to just using the basic remote control. The following extender does NOT pass sound from the matrix to the TV's. I had to replace these extenders to make the setup work. AV Access support were very helpful in helping me diagnose this issue.Neet® HDMI Extender over Single Cat 6 with IR Control - 1080p Full HD 3D - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B013T58Z5O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Slow to change input
Picture quality good but 4 seconds to change input is too long

Thank goodness it works
I purchased a number of this type of matrix devices one by one I had to return them because of problems with their switching and/or their remote conrols. AV Access is excellent, I have 4 seperate inputs and 3 seperate outputs and it is in constant use. I am copying into my PC old progams (going back to 2014) from my old Sky box before it fails itself. I also switch my CCTV and my PC to my 65" TV as I require. Excellent.

Excellent for watching various sources on different TVs
This truly is the ultimate HDMI matrix splitter. We currently have several HDMI connected devices in our lounge setup and have had to rely on 2 separate switches connected up to each of the 2 HDMI ports on the TV. With this matrix splitter, I've been able to connect each of the 4 devices (Virgin cable box, Amazon Firestick, Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch) to this box and connect the TV to the 1st output HDMI.At present, this is only connected to 1 output device, however we're planning on installing a projector in the living room for home movie nights. This will make it ideal to chop and change between what devices play on which screens. Using the remote, you can play any device on any or all screens. There are audio outputs on this, making it ideal to connect to external audio devices. You can also connect this up to your router via an rj45 ethernet cable, enabling you to connect via a browser or mobile phone to change channels, etc.I'm tempted to also get a HDMI sender to connect to this, allowing me to transmit any of the inputs to other TVs throughout the house.Overall, I'm really pleased with this splitter matrix and can whole heartedly recommend it.

Solved a major display resolution problem
I have used HDMI splitters and switches for years. This one is a quality build with good documentation and support. Not the cheapest but the best I have used. I just upgraded two AV systems with 4K endpoints and new 4K primary displays. The main issue I ran into on both is that the AVR automatically switches resolution to the lowest source and or lowest display. My AVRs are both fairly high-end and both have dual HDMI outputs. I used the primary output for the new display and the secondary output for my older 1080p displays. I thought that would be a good solution but as soon as the receiver sees anything 1080p it's switches everything to 1080p. It's a ridiculous problem and neither manufacturer had a good work around solution. Seriously? Well I found one here. Yes it is an extra step as far as selecting which sources go to which displays (which is something an AVR should be able to handle no problem, but they do not). For my setup I ran all of the sources into this first then I ran two of the outputs to my each of my older 1080p monitors and another output into my AVR. The AVR eArc HDMI output (1) feeds my new 4k display with 4K content and no issues now. The testing was performed by checking the resolution availability on both my Panasonic 4K Blu-ray as well as a new third generation fire cube in the display settings.

A part ça, R.A.S.

Regular signal drops
I have a PC as a main source. It worked great with a previous HDMI switch. When I went to a 4K TV I upgraded to this 4K HDMI switch and I regret it. IP interface is worthless (no ability to send commands) and we get regular drop out of signal from the PC.EDIT: I figured out the signal drop problem was related to power to a different splitter connected to the same PC source. Signal drops are gone once I used a different power supply! So I upgraded my rating to 4 stars. I still think the IP interface is worthless and needs their attention via firmware update.

This Matrix Works as it Should
Purchased this at the end of June 2023. It replaced a setup where I had 2 HDMI splitters and 4 HDMI switches routing video and audio from 2 DVD players and an Apple TV box to three flat screen monitors. The new matrix installed very fast and there was no setup necessary. The remote control is very simple and does not feel as cheap as some of the remotes I have tried. Two things I have noticed while using the matrix are that the audio format DTS, as played from a DVD concert, was not supported and I have figured out that the matrix should not be left powered on all of the time, as eventually audio starts cutting out. I was able to rectify the situation by unplugging and plugging back in. As a permanent solution, I placed in a switchable outlet so I can just turn off a switch, when not in use. This usually means a buffer is filling up and not clearing or something is getting hot. The audio formats PCM and Dolby have all worked well, from the DVD's.
