Is the pan dishwasher friendly?

No. We do not recommend putting into the dishwasher. It can damage the parts and coating.

will this make a 1 lb loaf of bread?

This bread maker is designed with 2 or 3 lb recipes in mind. If you have a 1 lb recipe, I don't see why it wouldn't work; however it will likely be oddly proportioned and the crust might get a bit crispy, as the programs available are only for 2-3 lbs, so it might bake it for longer than wanted.
