This is the best blush that I have ever tried
This is the best blush that I have ever tried! I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts. Jourer Mineral Blush is light and does not appear shiney when applied. The color does not last the entire day, and I sometimes do re apply once, but other than that, this is a must have in my makeup bag. I first purchased this product on a trip to Las Vegas; loved the blush, and I have been using it for the past four years. Great product for those of us with oily skin.

Soft, sheer color
This Jouer Mineral Powder Blush comes in different colors, but the one I am reviewing here is "Blossom." This particular color is a soft, peachy-pink "goes-with-everything" shade. (Think of it as a sort of coral, leaning just a touch more toward peach.)It also does contain the tiniest amount of sparkle, but it is not in any way "glittery". (Glitter isn't something I want on my 60+ skin.) It applies smoothly and evenly. (Note: it doesn't come with a brush, so use a nice, big fluffy blush-brush of your own for best results.) The color also stays true throughout the day, and doesn't morph into something different than what you first applied. The narrow compact opens easily, and has a mirror which, despite its small-ish size, allows a good view of the entire face. (The compact can also be attached to other Jouer products, via a "snap-together" system.)Despite all the things I liked about this blush, I'm rating four stars instead of five, because a couple of the ingredients might not be what every consumer wants. Those ingredients are: Talc (1st ingredient--some women just don't like talc in any face product), and Mica (2nd ingredient--some women might not want ANY sparkle at all, not even a tiny amount). But if talc and mica are okay with you, I think you'll be pleased with this blush.

Sheer, soft color with a slight pearlescent quality. Oil-free, fragrance free
Before I talk about the product itself, I've got to mention the packaging since it's pretty unique. The blush comes in a no-frills plastic rectangle that measures approx. 1-1/2" x 3-1/4". You flip open the top and the blush is on the bottom with a mirror on the top. There's no brush included, which is fine since those mini blush brushes are utterly useless. There are little "tracks" along the side which allow you to connect and stack other Jouer products - it's like a cosmetic Lego kit. How cool is that? I like that there's not a lot of excess packaging and the potential to build your own handy make-up kit--very clever! Now for the blush....The `blossom' color is much brighter (and pinker!) than it appears in the product description. Don't be put off by that though as it goes on very sheer. Using a decent blush brush you can easily "build" up to the color you want and the product does not look at all chalky or "cakey". The color has a slight pearlescent quality to it, but nothing too shimmery and definitely no sparkle or glitter - it actually creates a subtle glow that can be more flattering to drier complexions than a matte product would be. I'm very pleased with the look and I like that it has staying power - no need for frequent touch-ups.Would I recommend this product? That depends. If your skin tends to be oily then you might not appreciate that little bit of "glow", especially if you feel like you're already constantly fighting that "shiny" look. Budget is another consideration. At the current price ($24) this is definitely at the higher end of the price range for a powder blush, and is easily twice what you'd pay for a drugstore quality product. If your beauty budget permits, and you like mineral make-up then go for it - it is a nice product.*Oil-Free*Fragrance Free

Nice soft color that can be made bolder as needed
The first thing noticeable is the basic, bare bones packaging. Something that should become standard practice. However, if you find this in the store, the packaging may be different. I've noticed some products from Amazon come in basic packaging yet their counterparts at the local store are bigger (to reel you in with branding and marketing) and wrapped in hard to cut plastic. The plastic rectangle container perplexed me. (You can see it in the close-up photos of the product.) I thought it might have some hidden object. After a little research (the box didn't explain it), I found out the "side arms" are for stacking other Jouer products for easier storage. This is the first Jouer product I've tried, so there aren't any others to test the stacking feature. It opens like any other flip-top makeup product. One side has the pinkish rose blush and the other has a mirror. It doesn't come with a brush, but most blush products don't since it typically requires a big brush. My face is pale and my skin is mixed. Some places are a little oily (not the cheekbones), some dry and some normal. Cheekbones aren't oily The color worked blended nicely with my complexion, and brown hair with blonde highlights. A base amount gives it a gentle pinkish look. Adding more darkens the color, something I'd do for evening events or going someplace dark. The lightweight blush looks and feels soft. It's not harsh, oily or sparkly. That's all I can ask for as long as the color is right.I can only speak for my skin type as I'm no makeup pro. (One plus for working in a home office -- limits makeup use.) The price ($24) is higher than people who shop for makeup at super stores like Target and Walmart. The price is competitive with makeup in department stores. Some are higher and some about the same. One brand's lowest price was $30 and it came with the small blush brush. Two other brands were $26 and $30. Didn't find many for $24 or less unless they're the kind of brands you find in super stores and grocery stores.I hope you found this review helpful and show it with a quick click of yes.
