Ralston Foods Quick Grits Hot Cereal, 24 Ounce -- 12 per case.

Out of the 12 packs that was in the box, 5 of them were hard as bricks. I was very disappointed because I love the taste of these grits and cannot find them any where near me. Anyway, after several days of the 5 packages sitting out, I noticed that they became soft again. They have a valid expiration date too. So I just wanted to rescind my complaint to let you know that all 5 packages are the way they should be. And I will continue to order them, unless I find a store in the Cleveland, Ohio area that sells them. Thank you customer service for keeping in touch with me to resolve this issue.

This review is from a grit cooking veteran. These are absolutely, without doubt, the best grits we've ever used. First, they're real grits, not just stone ground corn. Second, compared to most "non instant" grits, they cook fairly quickly. They reach the "creamy" stage in about 25 minutes. Third, they're delicious and, if bought by the case, very inexpensive. A couple of cooking notes, pour them into your boiling water while whisking it briskly, whisk about every 8-10 minutes. Cook on lowest setting possible to maintain a simmer. Make sure you use enough salt (a given on every brand of grits). I really can't say enough good about these little guys :)

I had been disappointed not finding my favorite Hominy Grits in neighborhood grocery markets. A friend reminded me to go online and see if I could order this product directly from the Company. They couldn't, but Amazon could. Again, thank you for providing a wonder service (Amazon); "thank you" Ralston for making such a wonderful tasting product, and finally thank you Foodservice Direct, Inc for providing a way for me to enjoy another Ralston product . . .

This is my favorite brand of grits on the market. They are delicious.
