Just Works
This product is not just an overpriced BT dongle. I am pretty confident this is a self-contained BT radio that presents an audio source to the operating system via the USB interface. That's why, for many PCs, you can just plug this in and it works with your Bose headset. The device bypasses the complexities of the PC's BT subsystem and how do deal with w BT radios et cetera. So while I am not excited to have paid $70 for something that comes for free on a modern PC, for those of us with older laptops with pre-BT5 radios this product is a quite worthwhile.

No More Disconnects!
This dongle solved all the issues I had with recurring drops. Prior to use, I was constantly having to reestablish my BT connection which was very frustrating. Since I began to use the dongle, the issue has been resolved. Most of my meetings are Teams, Zoom, WebEx and GoTo. Also resolved my issue with connecting to Cisco IP Communicator. A little pricey, but worth it to remain connected.

So expensive. Good thing it works well.
I got a set of Bose 700 headphones for work and was having some issues with consistently having them pair with my laptop. I got this after talking to Bose support. While it does work well, I feel it should be part of the Bose 700 equipment set. It's a damn expensive dongle that just feels like a cheap way for Bose to make more money. The headphones connect well, and the range is good. If you walk out of range and it disconnects, you might need to unplug the dongle and plug it back in for your headphones to re-associate with the device. Overall, dongle is good. Dongle is very expensive for what it is. Dongle should have been included with the other device (in my case, headphones).

Provides seamless experience with Microsoft TEAMS!
I read many reviews on various websites regarding the Bose 700 NC vs 700 UC and the Bose Link dongle. I purchased the Bose 700 NC which is the version that did not come with the pre-paired bluetooth dongle. I used the headset with my Windows 10 laptop for Microsoft Teams meetings as well as GoToMeeting and overall it seemed to work as it should, but I was curious more than anything if I would get an even better experience with Microsoft Teams if I purchased the dongle. So I bought this Bose USB Link and my first impressions when it arrived were $70 USD was steep for this little usb dongle that is packaged in a tiny brown recycled cardboard. But now that I have been using it, I must say it does provide a better overall experience. It lights up purple when you have it installed on my PC that is signed into a Microsoft Teams account. I am now able to mute/unmute myself on Teams meetings by holding the touch control on the right earmuff. It is also nice to have the Bose 700 connected to both my PC and my iPhone at the same time. My call quality seems great on my Teams calls and overall I am very happy with the Bose 700/ USB link combo. It is unfortunate that we have to purchase a separate $70 usb dongle to have a mute button on the headset or buy the 700 UC which is more expensive than the NC version anyways to cover the price.

Bose USB Link bluetooth connection sub-par as compared to direct bluetooth pairing
The bluetooth connection between the Bose 700 headphones and the Bose USB Link was vastly worse than using a direct bluetooth pairing between my MacBook Pro 14 and the Bose 700 headphones. The effective range of the USB Link dongle was about 15 feet from the computer with complete audio and mic dropout beyond that distance. My typical direct bluetooth paring gives me a solid run of the house with minimal drop outs. I wanted to add the unified communication functionality that Base promises for the Bose USB Link. It does provide two key functions. You'll be able to answer/disconnect from Teams (and potentially other UC call types) using your Bose 700's dedicated voice assistant button on the right ear cup. Secondly, the tap and hold on the Bose 700 right ear cup is also recognized as as UC mute / unmute and recognized in UC software such as Zoom and Teams. Beyond that, there's little value here.

70 dollars for mute, range disappointing
It works average to poor, the connection range is much worse than built-in bluetooth on laptop. One tip - I had a wireless mouse dongle plugged into the port right next to the Bose adaptor, and my headphones wouldn't connect. Turns out the wireless dongle right next to it blocked all signals. A short extender cable is included - use that to move the Bose about 3" off the laptop and it will connect better. Even with that range is awful. With the Bose adaptor, you now have a "Teams" button on bottom left of headphone, where the assistant button was. It just opens the teams app, or brings the window to the front. Maybe that is useful? I guess if you're typing and need to switch to teams quickly for some reason? The only thing I could think would be to unmute - but that function is now on the headphones touch controls via long press. So, all in all, not worth a purchase. Not worth it out of pocket, but as a business expense, sure.

Game changer for the Bose 700's
Between switching audio devices based on needs, plus using multiple conference apps each maintaining their own settings, I was constantly fiddling with fickle connectivity between my 700's and PC. The frustration seems on brand with the 700's buginess in general, but adding this Bluetooth module at least fixed the connectivity problems, which is huge. I've had this thing for several months and now the 700's stick to the PC like glue. No setup - plug it in and it's like (FINALLY) having the stability of a wired set. Switching between the 700's and other devices now works seamlessly in Windows - no more power cycling headphones, cursing, and praying before meetings. Well, no more power cycling anyway =)

Guys...OMG...this works like a dream. I use a number of systems that require me to use a headset with a mic... The crappy ones supplied by my office just wasn't cutting it so I set out to use my Bose QC35 ii. I tried a number of different dongals. No success. I found this product in a forum and am so happy. I haven't had to download any software. It's plug and play. I have tried with other Bose products and works a dream. Only complaints would be the range is about 5-6m and the bright blue light. 100% would buy again!

I spend most of my working hours in meetings. Even though I previously had my bose NC700 headphone, it had completely unstable Bluetooth connectivity. Whenever the System is running out of resources it would immediately impact the built-in bluetooth be it Windows or Mac. When I was purchasing this I wasn't sure if it was really going to solve the problem but fortunately it did.

Works as mentioned. Should have been included not an optional extra. Teams button still doesn't behave as expected.

USB Link is really useful. Especially when the organisation has blocked Bluetooth module. This device is detected as audio device and connects seamlessly. It's not best when it comes to multidevice audio management. It struggles switching between audio sources and lots of fiddling is required. The range isn't great too and even with a short distance at times there are sound distortion especially when you move around.
