Wonderful beginner skates!
Jackson definitely has the cheapest line of skates from what i’ve seen, however the quality definitely surpasses that. Ive had these skates for ~4 months now and they are so comfortable, i went from not being able to go forwards to two foot turns in a couple weeks with these so i definitely recommend trading in rentals for some jackson’s. Also, the sizing is about one size down from your shoe size in my experience.

Beautiful skates, lots of compliments!
Very good skates for the beginning skater. They hold up well enough for most beginner stuff but are not supposed to be used for any jumps due to the low ankle support rating. I was informed by a former near-Olympian friend of mine that they could probably handle up to single rotation jumps but wouldn't push it too far past that. Came with factory oil on the blades. THEY WILL NEED TO BE SHARPENED. The factory sharpening isn't very deep and I was sliding around with no grip. Upon first sharpening I suddenly found myself with edges and have been learning them since. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get into figure skating!

Great beginner Ice Skate
I started ice skating about 2 months ago and I really wanted my own skates instead of just the rental skates. I went to a shop to buy skates in person but the man kept insisting I needed custom boots because my feet were so wide (which was confusing as I have never before in my life been told I have wide feet). Custom boots were going to be $300 and I wasn't even sure if I was going to stick with skating... I decided to go online searched high and low on the internet for which pair was good beginner pair, I read all the forums, watched youtube videos, tiktoks, messaged online retailers, and ended up picking this pair... and I love them. From all my reading I read that Jackson Ultima is more for people with normal to wide feet, where Riedell is more for people with normal to thin feet, so I went with Jackson. They are perfect as a beginner pair! There is such a difference in having your own skates and these are amazing. I highly recommend following the size guide. Figure skates sizing is not the same as regular shoes, For instance I wear a women's 8.5 and I had my friend help me measure my feet with a measuring tape (you must measure when yourself standing with weight on your feet!! (learned that from several youtube videos)) and bought 7 and they fit perfect. One downside is if you buy these skates in person you can get them heat-molded to you and when I went in-store with them they refused to head-mold them to me because I did not buy them there...In the description it says these skates come factory sharpened but honestly that's not accurate because they come unsharpened. You will need to go get these sharpened when they arrive (if they ask you what hollow you want say 5/8" also learned that from my deep dive). If you just want to try them for size before sharpening you can, but they will feel extra extra slippery on the ice.A few other people in my learn to skate class have bought skates now, and most people got these skates and love them as their beginner skates!

Great for beginners
My shoe size is 7.5 and I purchased 7. I used the chart in Jackson's website to know which one to buy (I also kew it was around the same size as the rentals). Im in Adult Basic 2 and these were godsend. I was using the rentals and now my feet are surrounded by a nice cloud of comfort. I do not do a lot of fancy jumps and turns yet but I am able to be on the ice for an hour.

Came used when I chose the new option
I’ve bought this product 3 times already. All 3 times they came used with either creases or hair from pervious users. The packages came with no instructions and one came without the Jackson box, only a cardboard box. Very disappointed.
