Effective scraper, needs a little work
I live in Minnesota so I know about ice. The brass blade is the way to go. It's soft metal and won't damage your window, but it will scrape ice better than other kinds of scrapers -especially ones with plastic blades, which are just stupid. These are inexpensive and I keep buying them and giving them to people as stocking stuffers at the holidays.One reason I keep buying them, though, is that the handle is not as strong as it needs to be. We seem to break them at some point during the winter. I'd suggest the company look at thickening and lengthening the handle. I'd happily pay three times as much -or more- for a brass bladed scraper that would be easier to hold onto, wouldn't break, would curve a little and would be long enough to reach the center of the windshield. Also, a slightly thicker blade would help: we tend to find the corners of the blade are easily bent if we are not careful. Once the blade is no longer true, it does not scrape well and trying to flatten it in my vise does not really do the job.With some care, though, nothing scrapes as well and when it's -10 -that's what you want.

Beats the cheap all plastic junk scrapers
Been using a similar scraper for years. Wanted to get some for wife & kid plus spares when needed. So glad I didn't have to settle back to a plastic scraper because I found these and got a bundle of them for such a reasonable price. Works good - wish the handle was a little longer and thicker though but I'm happy

Old trusted one is still around
The "old reliable" ice scraper is still around. These are very similar to the ones I bought 10 plus years ago and after a few snows and frosty windshields, they act the same. I would definitely buy again if there was a need, but if they behave like my other ones, it may be a while.

More of a heavy frost scraper.
Excellent for light to heavy frost. Not so good for thick ice or crusty snow. The handle seems a bit flimsy - like it could break if pressed too much.

I give these away as gifts at holiday time. Everyone loves them. Oh yeah, and they work great.

Just the right size
We bought these at Christmas to give as gifts for a few family members as well as ourselves. They work perfect, they are small enough I can fit in my door and grab when needed.
