Update 08/2024: For awhile now these have proven overall to be great lights. They are bright and I have seen some still be shining bright around 5am! Unheard of to me! I have one that I have to go shake the jar a bit. I may need to just adjust the string. No big deal when overall they are amazing. I hope they come back in stock. Probably getting consistent full on sun may be a key to their long lasting brightness.Update 10/4/23: They are holding the light better so I don't know what's going on but definitely giving them time to prove themselves. I think they are all working tonight! Might order more because 4 for $9.99 is a great deal and they are really bright. :)***I just got these the other day - bought two sets. I love them when they work but I have some that are going out within a couple hours or so. I go outside open the jar switch the on/off and they come on but then some go out again. It's like there is a short somewhere. Any tips on what to do?Also one of the metal hanging parts wouldn't attach around the jar neck and when I got a tool out to help the metal broke.When they work they look wonderful and bright. I'm very disappointed that some are not dependable. Only had them for about two days.

Update: in the last package I received, 2 out of 4 lids did not work upon receipt. Two of the panels were unglued from the cap, and with one of those the battery door was broken plus a wire was no longer connected. I suspect it is not easy to get the broken replaced so I am trying to fix them myself.I discovered water in some of the mason jars of the other lights that I had purchased in the last few months and attempted to silicon the area where the cap meets the solar panel but they are still leaking. I also discovered that the lids themselves rust, even though I painted a few of them with a rust preventive paint to help prevent that. These lids are not rust resistant. It's too bad, they are pretty lights, and I was hoping this seller had a better product than most of the solar mason jar cap sellers on Amazon. Maybe these issues are due to the holiday rush?Previous review, before the last batch:I just ordered my fourth set. Nice subtle lighting for my lanai; I haven't had them long enough to say how they will fare over the months, but so far every one I received has been working fine.

I received a frosted pint jar with a string of 10 lights like these and it just made me happy every time I saw them sparkle in the garden. I ordered this set to increase the delight. These look better in quart jars because there are 30 lights. It's easy to imagine they are fireflies. I've been enjoying them for a couple of months now and they do not fail to light. I've grouped 3 closer to the house under a very large tree but they still light and are lit when I go to bed at 10pm. They have survived many a storm and keep on delighting.

Bought these to replace some Mason jar sets that stopped working. Fit like a charm! Notice these lids (on right, lit) are a little shorter than the original tops (on left, not lit yet) but fit standard Mason jars just fine. We had extra tops, so bought several types of jars at Target and they all fit.These are slightly more sensitive to dusk that the original set, so they come on a little bit earlier which we like. The extra number of lights (30 per string) gives a nice extra brightness. The pics are after maybe 3 hours of sunlight in early April in northern KY area, so these charge up nicely. The hangers are easy to put on too.I'll update after some use for durability.Cheers!Edit: after 1 day, one set (out of 8) does not work. It gets the 'blinkies'. As Meatloaf said, 7 out of 8 ain't bad. Especially for the price! And the working ones do look nice.

These are great outdoor accent lights. I have used them for 3 months now and they look beautiful all night long. I have some hanging on tree branches and they charge fully even in this shaded area. Great value!

Lovely if they actually worked. I received 4 defective lids. And the 4th lid threads are defective and cannot fit the mason jar no matter what. I believe the rechargeable batteries it comes with must be old because the lights do not come on or stay lit the way they are supposed to. They go off fine, but they do not come back on. I just tried to reach out to the seller to get replacements, and I got a message from Amazon saying the message could not be delivered because the seller has left the store. How is that even possible if I just bought an item from the store? Shady. Not cool. No way to reach the seller. I would caution buying these from this seller. Defective and no way to get a replacement or any help with the item.

I love the idea, I bought them for indoor use. Initially I put them in my best sun facing window to charge for 2 days at a time with about 2 hours of light output. I then bought high quality replacement aaa rechargeable batteries. On a full charge I got two nights of light, then it plunged. I began trying to charge them with high quality LED grow lights to the same effect, two hours. I cannot say how they perform charging outside, getting the best possible light source. Inside, the panels are not efficient enough to charge 600 mah in two days let alone 1000. I will charge them outside and report back.Outside of this everything works as described. The circuit board is cheap but that doesn't mean it's not good. A little glue can go along way. For the price, the panels do charge the battery, I just can't seem to find an efficient way to do it. I also live in Michigan, we get down to >8 hours sunlight a day. I'm going three stars, I truly hope to get that up.

These are great. I was so surprised to see them still going this morning. I knew they were light when all the others I have are done for the night but did not realize they go until daybreak. Love them! I've purchased before from another source and they keep going. Needed more for around my pool and on picnic table for the summer. They work great!
