Perfect bag for international flights as check-in bag. Bus travel or pulling/pushing on sidewalks and streets
Amazing! The size is perfect and all the straps and pouches are so helpful. We did not need those cubes you need for many bags and the length was great for folding dress slacks in half with dress shirts folded in half with underwear and under shirts inside each shirt and the shirts all layered with the pants outside the shirts and still had room for two pair of dress shoes in bags, fordable hampers, hangers, socks, folded empty shower bag, a pouch that holds 6 ties securely, and few other items my son could do without for a while if the checked bag was lost. The handles in several locations ans the means for attaching helmet and more outside after arrival are great. The wheels would be great on roads and sidewalks, not the spin ones that people only using it at an airport might want. We were able to push forwards or backwards for convenience. When completely stuffed, we were still under the weight limit and length/height/width limit for international flights as a regular check-in bag. Perfect bag for international flights as check-in bag. Bus travel or pulling/pushing on sidewalks and streets.

Want a light weight, extremely durable bag? This is it.
I am a photographer who does adventure travel to places that don't have big city infrastructure. I needed a bag that was light weight but durable. Something that would protect expensive gear in the bottom section and keep clothes and essentials safe and dry and easily accessible in the top section. It had to survive and protect its contents while being stored in the back of a tour off-road vehicle, some days on the top of the heap and other days on the bottom. At our destinations, the wheels needed to function on rough, sometimes wet unpaved surfaces. This bag did all of these things on a ten day trip through the Faroe Islands. There was no aspect of this bag that let me down. This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for, in addition to exceeding all of my expectations outlined above; when I returned home and inspected the bag after I emptied it, it looked like it never left home.

Great bag for domestic travel.
So far this bag is working great! Perfect for smaller domestic trips. I haven’t taken it internationally yet, usually use a sturdier bag for that type of travel. The wheels provide a nice smooth right and overall the bag is light. Which makes it easy to pickup and carry up stairs. My only issues are:- the bag can dirty and take up marks easy. After one trip to CA the bag looked like it was thrown through sand and had a black dust mark down the side.- you should make sure you zip up the handle. If you don’t it can get scuffed up easily and looks less nice. But overall I think it’s a great bag just don’t think it will stay that pretty blue and bright red color for ever.

Started to fall apart almost immediately.
This is a nice looking bag that appears well built. However, it began to fall apart on me almost immediately. On day three of our trip, one of the seems on the front compartment started to come apart, exposing the things packed there. By day seven, the zipper that encloses the telescoping handle broke off. I should also say that it’s difficult to get into things in the main compartment if you have the front pocket packed with items as well. Basically the bag just doesn’t want to stay open and I found myself having to unpack at every stop of the trip. Overall, very, very disappointed. Am now in the process of returning the bag to amazon.

Broken Zipper
On its maiden flight, the upper compartment zipper was broken by the airlines. My local repair shop does not have the locking 2-way zippers to replace the ones torn off by the airline. Can Eagle Creek repair this? Although I suspect the baggage handling equipment mauled the zipper pulls, it could also have been due to a poor design. The red handle at the top of the bag should have been larger and attached to the main bag instead of just the top compartment which might have placed too much stress on the zippers when picking up the whole bag by this small handle. My bag when checked weighed only 35 lbs. Otherwise, the bag worked fine and was well made. Unless it can be repaired it is now useless. I had to wrap in duck tape to finish trip.

Well made, worth Money.
I recently took this bad on a trip to Prague in January. The bag is extremely well made and the wheels which took a serious beating on stone streets and side walks, held up perfectly. This duffle is easy to grab, handle and transport. Orginally I ordered the 32inch and returned it for the 29 inch as a result I thought it was to big. When actually, 32inch would have been better due to the fact winter clothes take up a so much room. However, If If I was going in summer I would have had a lot of room to spare. I ended up picking this duffle due to the reputation of eagle creek and the warranty that stands behind the name. Yes you pay more but well worth it.

Not up to standards compared to my previous Eagle Creek Luggage
Sadly the Gear Warrior 29 does not seem to meet the standards that I am used to when it comes to Eagle Creek products.I have 2 other Eagle Creek Luggage bags, a 7 year old Eagle Creek Travel Gear Switchback Max 25 Luggage as well as a Eagle Creek Tarmac 22. Both of them are constructed with high quality solid materials and both of them seem to have been designed with longevity in mind. The Gear Warrior 29 corner bumpers are not exposed on the top of the bag, so the fabric/cover is exposed in the corners instead. The buckles that are used to secure the bag seem to be smaller in size. There are no rails to protect the back of the bag.I also placed an order for the current version of the Eagle Creek ORV30, doing a side by side comparison in regards to design/materials and construction it is possible to tell that the Gear Warrior was clearly designed with cost constraints.Been a frequent flyer who travels across oceans each month I need luggage that will be able to take a beating and keep on going. The bottom plastic panel of the Eagle Creek Switchback 25 cracked after over 100 flights so I need to find a replacement, sadly the Gear Warrior 29 doesn't meet my particular requirements due to concerns regarding longevity. Thanks to the Prime benefits from Amazon I will be able to ship the luggage bag back.
