My sons PS4 developed a fault during a system update. Not being very technical I googled how to solve the problem. Nothing worked, we were on the verge of purchasing a new PlayStation when I read that using an official Sony charger cable may enable us to use the controller (non of the other cables we had worked). After promising my son this was the last thing we would try, he had been without his PS for over a week. I ordered the cable and lo and behold it worked. We had to reset the console back to factory setting but it worked. One happy son. Thank you.

I purchased this cable and in less than 2 weeks it was broken. The company advertise a 5 year guarantee however when I made contact with them they ask to send the faulty product for assessment, this is against my customer rights as the goods are faulty. The cable end snapped on taking it out of the PS4 controller, this should not happen as this is its sole purpose to charge the controller. This company say it is unusual however I have seen similar reviews detailing the same fault, it is not an official licensed product at all, it is false advertising on amazon and they should be removed as sellers. I am making a formal complaint to amazon as this is not acceptable. *** DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER ***

Not even had 24 hours use of the cable. My son went to take out charger cable and the end piece get stuck in his new controller.The wise we’re open and sharp.Very gutted saying this is classed as a official PlayStation cable.

It was great, the connection was very stable with a perfect fit and it charged my new brand controller with no issues... for about 15 minutes.I unplugged the cable and it literally fell apart. I wasn’t rough with it, I didn’t do anything other than plug it in & unplug it gently like every other charger I’ve ever used. However, it simply fell apart, without any misuse.Amazon were great and refunded me with no problem. The quality LOOKED good so I’m hoping I just happened to get a dud item. I will reorder this at some point as it’s “official”, hoping the quality is better.In short: very disappointed upon first impression.

Perfect for charging the dual sense controller whilst plugged in and playing games at a distance further than the ps5's own cable allows. Can charge your headset and any other periferals with USB C connections too.Does the job. Has a nice braided cable (like rope) that doesn't stick or bend in the same way a plastic one would, so it should be way more durable too. And matches ps5 colour scheme. Nice

It broke within days of opening. It wasn't manhandled at all, just shoddily assembled. I was taken in by the "official sony playstation" title. No way would Sony supply or give their name to this.Its a waste of money and another thing for the landfill site. Why not put a little bit more effort in and make something properly?!
