Sweet Nothings Paperback – July 2, 2013

For me, this story was a little slow starting. But I grew to love the character and the evolving story. I read the last six chapters late into the night just to finish it. So dive in and enjoy the roller coaster! I would have loved a few recipes with the story...

I recently picked up Sweet Nothings from my pile of unread books and I cant put it down. This book makes me laugh out loud and the characters seem like real people. This book will make you forget your troubles for awhile.

Real life happy & sad, seasoned with some hilarious observations. I enjoyed the children's characters, the observations about and the coping with getting older; as well as the inclusion of visits to the heroine's mother. Well balanced.

I loved this book. I laughed out loud so many times. It was a great stress reliever at the end of the day to lay in bed and savor this delicious story. The stressipes and all Ruby's quirkiness made the book a delight. Thank you Janis!

I was sucked in from the very beginning and felt connected to the main character, Ruby, and everything that she was going through. She's an inspiring character overcoming many of life's adversities.

I liked the characters, it made me root for them :)

Once I started reading, I did not want to put it down!!!! I was rooting for the main character the whole time. You could really connect with her!!

This is a terrific author, for Women Contemporary fiction. I just couldn't put this book down, great read...I also read her book "Something New".
