You're likely to be wondering how the green tea flavor works with the rest of the flavors in a savory tea. The truth is, it is not detectible. So you might get the benefits of green tea without its flavor, which for some would be a plus. This "tea" is far more like a full-bodied broth, especially compared to the Numi brand of savory teas, which have only roughly 1/4 of the calories. (Both teas have a negligible amount of calories.) The smoky plus salty combo in this tea is where it gets its "facon" flavor. It's bacon-y in the same way a Baco salad topper is, though better.If you're watching calories, having to avoid solid food, or are looking for a meatless, smoky, savory treat, this tea fits the bill. It cannot fully replace the taste of a crispy piece of fried pig fat, but for health's sake, some things should be avoided.

I really liked this tea, it smells heavenly and it's especially great when you're feeling a bit hungry but don't like to snack. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is that from the smell and description I expected a little more flavor out of it. It eventually gets there if you're willing to steep the bag for more than 6-7 min. and add some extra salt to it, but in a regular mug, it gets cold pretty quickly that way. Other than that, I recommend it to anyone looking for ways to 'spice up' the regular tea experience :)

More flavorful than my numi savory teas, and less salty than a chicken bouillon, this does fill a need in my evening tea regime. However, it's not very bacon-y flavored. It's not bad, but I was expecting a little more 'wow'.It's good, and I like it, but I don't think I'll replenish my supply when I run out. It's a little pricey for a tea that doesn't taste as amazing as I hoped/expected.

Truly delicious!!!Just watch the caffeine level-- green tea DOES have caffeine, and I spent one restless night after having a cup of this at dinner. Other than that, highly recommended.

This is a nice, flavored broth. I like having it available for snowy, cold afternoons. It's a nice change from just a cup of green tea.

After being disappointed by Numi's savory teas I was hesitant to try Millie's, especially at the premium price. But I was so intrigued by the idea of savory tea that I bit the bullet and ordered a sampler off of Millie's website. I recommend you do the same if you aren't sure what flavors you may like. You also get a bonus coupon if you order the sampler package off of their website. I'm glad I ordered the sampler first as I was actually surprised by my favorites. Millie's website also has many more sizes and assortment packages to chose from.The Smoky Facon flavor tastes exactly like you think it would. Hearty, smokey, a little salty and very satisfying. The green tea flavor isn't really noticeable (but I think it would be odd if it were). Millie's teas make for a perfect mid-afternoon or late-night snack when you don't want something heavy. I have also tried adding a bag to my unflavored package of oatmeal and it made a really lovely hearty snack with some freeze dried vegetables. Overall I can definitely recommend Millie's teas.
