About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Kiteboarding Performance Tracker How did you come up with the idea for this product? We're kiteboarders and we love technology, so we were almost inevitably gravitated to the intersection of the two, which is where WOO is at. What made us pull the trigger is the realization that action sports as a whole has a big problem - there is no objective measurement of performance. That's when our entrepreneurial mindset kicked in and decided that we need to quit our day to day jobs to solve this problem, and WOO was born. What makes your product special? Our product is highly specialized, and hence much more accurate than anything else out there. Beyond that, we really focus on bringing the community together in the WOO platform, and creating an exciting and engaging user experience with things like leaderboards, challenges etc. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The best part is an easy answer, we are driven by a very deep passion for what we do. Working on a tech startup in action sports is pretty much a dream come true. Of course, it does not come without challenges. Our product requires a lot of sophistication, and it is hardware. Going through the motions of bringing all the different pieces together in this tiny device, and within the short timeframe we had, was definitely a huge challenge for us.

Issues with quality, reliability, and design.
I've had some fun with my WOO. The app is great and it's pretty addictive and entertaining to participate. I've also had pretty good customer service getting warranty replacements. Unfortunately, that's not how I want to spend my time--returning my WOO or upgrading all the time to "new and improved" models and spending additional funds chasing a poor design. The WOO tracker has exposed metal contacts that corrode, regardless of rinsing in fresh water and drying. It's not a good design for water and sand. Connectivity with my apple and android devices has been unreliable. The new container mount that is supposed to protect the WOO is simply a Band-Aid on a poor design. The right thing to do is build it with zero metal contacts. My motorized electric toothbrush with inductive charging has zero problems, communicates flawlessly, and has lasted for years. Until WOO steps up and does the right thing and builds a hassle-free unit that can be exposed to wind, sand, and saltwater without the need for goofy containers, I'm out.

Pretty much as expected!
Product does exactly what it says to do in exactly the way it says to do it. Records your jumps, landings and session duration. The Android version of the app has just come so it still needs a bit of work but even so works well enough.Customer service was not perfect but it worked. The first unit that I received had a Bluetooth fault and was replaced without any hassle. Only issue is that each email communication takes a week or more to be answered.

I initially had a bad experience with a WOO product, however the support team made everything right.I am looking forward to getting to experience the WOO 2 shortly!Will update my experience as I start logging a few sessions.Yewwwww :)

Be careful, devices not work.
The device does not work and cannot be charged. I started the process of returning it back and refunding, right after opening the box. Completely desatisfied.

Useless
Not happy at all!! It doesn't record my sessions , after kiting I go to the iPhone , sync it and .... Nothing to sync . Lack of manual and clear instructions , no support , I have send them an email regarding this issue , and still no news, even mores, I don't even know if the email was delivered as there are no support in the website . No options for adding my spot as , both app and website clearly need way more development. Very disappointed . 200$ useless piece of plastic.Last update , bought it in Aug 3rd , not even 3 months later that's how the WOO looks , great product quality !! Even more, in less than one year they had to add a cheap patch to the mount as many WOOs were flying off . I have to say, the marketing campaign is superb , other than that ...... Not worth it at all

Very poor quality. Not waterproof the case that they should be handing out with it to protect it is another $39.99. Mine lasted just over a year and failed for water intrusion. I now have the Trace much better product and uses GPS to log speed and distance. Pictures below opened right up didn't even have to try full of corrosion
