Works great!
The kit came with the USB adapter, an instruction booklet, and a CD with software. You only need to install the software provided on this CD if you intend to use this adapter to digitize incoming analog signals. I never installed this software because I am not using this adapter for recording.I wanted to listen to podcasts on my Windows 10 laptop. My wireless headset, Sennheiser RS120 On-Ear Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Dock, has RCA plugs. (This headset is also great, BTW.)To use this adapter I just plugged it into a USB jack.Afterward I needed to visit Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Manage Audio DevicesThis causes a "sound" configuration dialog to appear. The Technical Pro USB2RCA Digital / Analog Audio devices appears as an item with the caption "4-USB AUDIO CODEC". I configured it to be the default audio device and afterward I could listen to my podcasts through the headphones. Sweet! That was easy!Folks considering purchasing this should be aware of the following factors:1) it is physically a bit wide. USB jacks are often close together. This device physically blocks adjacent USB jacks on both my laptop and my USB hub. I used a short USB cable to prevent this device from blocking any USB jacks. This is the cable I used: Pair Right Left Angled 90degree USB 2.0 a Male to Female Adapter Extension Cable;2) the adapter has a blue LED that indicates that it is correctly plugged into a USB jack. The issue is that this LED is very bright. In a dark room it is basically a night-light!Note to the electrical engineers who maintain this product: please reduce the LED's brightness by at least 75%. Thanks

For Analog Line-in Audio to Digital USB and the reverse, IT JUST WORKS on computers and iPads.
This is really a great little product that is very versatile in bridging some important gaps. You can convert audio from line-in analog to USB digital and the reverse. I needed something to get audio from my iPad to a Mac with a mic but not line-in inputs. It works very well for that. Then I made a discovery: by using the Camera Connection Kit (e.g. USB to iPad lighting connector), it works equally well to get line-in analog audio into the iPad. It just works! That doubles if not triples the usefulness of this thing. It is a simple device that "just works" with a lot of different uses and nothing to go wrong, and is much less expensive than a lot of other audio solutions.

Tech-Pro UREC7 Recorder
Wow! Just a little thing, but it does a good job. It's an interface hook up from RCA to USB. Comes with Audacity software CD, design for it. I installed the CD Audacity software. Then plugged the UREC7 into the computer's USB port. Clicked on the Audacity Icon and it loaded and was ready to go. Seems the software was designed for the unit. I have Audacity 2.1 installed in my other computer and it did not recognize the URE7. If you want to record a Sermon or music this little thing will do the job for less then $16 Dallas. Just follow the instructions for hook up. You will have to download Lame win 3.99.5 to copy and store to the computer. It gives you the link to do this.

Wow, A Necessary Tool For Live Broadcasts
My boyfriend is a musician, and he has been using a 2012 Mac Pro with an analog soundboard to do live broadcasts in this Covid-19 time. He can no longer perform live at venues so the live format has been a great way to make money. We bought this device so that if his computer failed, my newer MacBook Pro could hook up to his analog soundboard. (We never did use it for that but I did helped another band), The Big Jangle (picture included with device), use this with their audio digital board, and do a live broadcast on Facebook! People were raving about how amazing the sound was! We were going to hook it up to OBS software, but it was not hooking up to Facebook that day so we hooked it up directly to Facebook live producer, turned the computer toward the band (instead of the multi-cameras we were going to use) and used to drop down for this wonderful device, and everything sounded so good!

works great with Audacity
Been using it for several weeks, works great with Audacity. It woulld be nice if the device had a 3.5 mm stereo audio input as well. Gets the job done all the same.

Exceptional value for money
WOW! pretty much sums up my experience with the USB2RCA converter, AND with Audio Savings. Once I researched my way past the audio input curve the Apple Engineers introduced in the 2018 Mac Book Pro and discovered this device; the hardware hookup between a vintage Sony PS5550 turntable, through a receiver Tape In/Out path, and into the MacBook was a piece of cake. Learning how to drive GarageBand from a standing start is another story…
