Indulgence
I'm a huge fan of 111Skin and everything they put out. They've got something for everyone, and the line was developed for people healing post surgery - those who couldn't tolerate the typically harsh products we have. That being said, you're obviously not going to notice anything magical from one use of this mask, unless you count radiance and supple dewey hydration as magical (I know that some of us do). This is a luxury mask that I cannot afford to use up to 3x weekly as directed, but an indulgence every once in a while is always sweet. If I were able to use this as often as they say to, I think I'd notice a difference in my skin. With my one and done use i still like what I see (or rather, what I mostly FEEL).

Not their best
I’ve purchased other 111 Skin masks and love them. This one not so much. Being one piece it’s hard to get good placement. It’s good for moisture but their other masks deliver those results and are better for placement.

Expensive
Yummy for the face. Very moisturizing. But very expensive.

I love it...but didn't want to
I set this aside for WEEKS because I was a little intimidated to use it. It is pricey...and that being said I really didn't want to fall in love with it. I used it just tonight while in the bath and kept it on for a good 20 minutes. It's super easy to take apart and apply. The serum, and the texture of the mask really is the ideal consistency as far as masks are concerned. Once the mask is removed there is a little bit of serum leftover but it pats easily into the skin. It's slightly tacky but just a while later the serum is absorbed.I really feel that the dry spots on my forehead and near the sides of my nose were really hydrated and also noticed a reduction in redness in my face.

Wow! Completely refreshed my skin!
Found it easiest to remove one of the outer layer, place on face and then remove the other outer layer. The inner layer is extremely thin. The mask applied nicely and molded well to my skin. Upon first removing the mask, I was disappointed with the results- didn't see any real change. Couldn't understand why the mask was so expensive. But after an hour or two- whoa! My skin was completely refreshed! Totally impressed with the results. There was enough extra liquid in the pouch to apply several times to my skin over the day, at night, and in the morning. If I'd known how much I'd like the mask, I would have decanted the extra liquid in the pouch into a small jar to use later. This was the reboot my stressed skin needed.

Perfect mask for my face
This mask was easy to apply (I had kept it in the fridge) and it stayed on for the 25 minutes I left it on my face (I lay down for a cat nap while it was on), it never slipped or moved. Once the 25 minutes was up I took it off and washed my face. Once my face was dry it felt amazingly clean and soft. Best mask I've ever worn. Definitely recommend it to others to try, you won't regret it.

bio cellulose film gloms onto skin like a second skin, lots of extra serum left over
NOT your typical sheet mask.111SKIN Y Theorem Bio Cellulose Facial Mask is premium beauty, and a high price tag is to be expected. Even so, this is pricey for a single application (though see my note on excess serum). I don't rate based on price as we all have our own budgets, but if I were to invest in this I would find their 5 pack--even if it costs nearly the same per piece.. I hate to say it but I think the greatest benefit will be from multiple uses. It has been a pleasure to try this single item (wowsa). I would use it (multiple times) if my skin really needed the help, and/or I just wanted to do a round of masks a couple times a year. ie do a couple of masks per week for 2-3 weeks. Then after that whatever works best for skin and budget. Their product line is interesting, and you guessed it pricey. That being said, I have a favorite mask already so I am not sure if I would come back for this. However, between my rationale above and what I have learned about the company and the materials (and ingredients) used, my interest has been piqued. Take my money...(if only I had a premium beauty budget, lol)The mask material is impressive. It is not a tissue, but a bio cellulose film. It practically becomes one with the skin. "With fibres 500x finer than tissues masks, bio cellulose can lock hydration into the skin while encouraging superior penetration of active ingredients... The superior bio-cellulose body, initially used to treat burn victims, acts as a second skin that encourages superior penetration of ingredients"I made the initial mistake of approaching this like any other sheet mask I have used. Don't do this. Please note that this mask is nestled between two protective nettings. Peel off one netting, then place mask on face. Then peel off the other netting. From here, manipulate the bio cellulose film into place. Since this is NOT a sheet mask, you will understand why these protective nettings are utilized. The BIO CELLULOSE mask is very thin, smooth, and feels fragile. It would be a nightmare to unfold it otherwise. You will see that it just gloms onto the skin securely. It has a bit of stretch, so it should be able to be manipulated into place to fit your face. If you fail to take off either netting, then the fit is awkward and the cellulose material isn't actually on the skin. And you will want to cut it. Ask me how I know :(There is A LOT of serum in the packet. Be mindful of this as it will easily leak out if you don't have the pouch in an upright position. Don't waste it!Make a plan to either pour it into a container (so you can continue to use it over the next few days), OR use it up post mask and apply it like you would if applying layers of hydrating toner (pat some on, let absorb. Pat more on, let absorb. Keep doing this until skin can't absorb any more).Instructions say to keep it on for at least 20 minutes. After my original snafu of keeping the netting on, and got it all sorted out, I think I had it on for about an hour. I used this post shower, so I likely was reaping the greatest benefit by doing it like that. Once I had the mask appropriately applied, it didn't budge, it felt super comfortable, and I barely noticed it was on. I could move around. It did not impede my movement or sight. Again, just be sure to put it on according to directions.Ingredients felt gentle on my 40 something dry skin. I have Rosacea (non-acne, just redness from flushing and visible veins) and this did not irritate at all. In fact, the next day my face was less red than normal. Other than that (which can be a big thing, as it is nice to not have red cheeks), overall, with a single use I did not find that my skin felt or looked different. Not better, not worse. Not sure if it is an over time thing, or simply needs more applications.. but a single use mask has been difficult to measure for efficacy. --and only reason for 4 stars (I'd do 4.5 if I could)One more thing.. it does contain added fragrance, as seen at end of list. The scent is not over powering. I get headaches and nausea easily from perfumes and such, and this was totally fine for me. Your experience may vary.Ingredient benefits:Sea Anemone Peptide: A biomimetic peptide based on sea anemone protein which calms inflammation and irritation within the skin.Ectoin: An amino acid derived from microorganisms in extreme conditions that acts as an environmental shield to the skin.Centella Asiatica: A botanical extract that supports collagen synthesis and improves the tensile strength of skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.Liquorice Root: A potent botanical tyrosinase inhibitor that brightens, tones and reduces hyperpigmentation.N-Acetyl Cysteine: A skin conditioning ingredient that supplies bioavailable cysteine for glutathione (a tripeptide antioxidant) replenishment. Good mask, not worth the price.
I was pleased with this mask. The texture is not a cloth, it's almost gel-like. Super moisturizing, made my skin glow. All around great product and I would get it again if it weren't 35$ for a single mask.
