Holy Bible, Catholic Companion Edition

I am extremely picky when it comes to picking a Bible. This one is excellent. Very nice and well made. The leather is very nice. The edges of the pages are marked so you can easily find the book. The ribbon is well made. Best of all the footnotes are on the pages and not in the back of each book. Makes it very convenient to read them. The pages are not too thin so not much bleed through.Overall an excellent Bible. You won’t be sorry you purchased it.

I got this as my family's first Holy Bible. When I first got it out of the box, I was so excited and happy to see it, finally! The leather feels so good to touch, it is marvelous. The production quality is extremely high. At first, while browsing through the pages just to get a feel of it, I thought I was missing pages, when in fact the pages are so delicately thin that they are actually stuck together near the edge!Please carefully separate them, and you'll see those missing pages magically appear, like how Jesus broke five loaves of bread and two fish to feed FIVE THOUSAND people! (Matthew 14:13-21)Also, I love how there's a built-in rosary on the back of the bible! The beads are indented onto the beautiful leather binding.

I love everything about this Bible and will be passing it down to my son someday. The feel of it, the weight, the size, it's perfect. The rosary on the back is especially meaningful, as it represents the Catholic faith, so even while holding the Bible closed, your fingers can feel the rosary beads and feel a special connection to the Book. I love that all weekly readings are included, as well as the 3 year readings, and each book is noted on what page they begin, to find it easily. Very interesting readings in the front of it, about the books, the meaning of them, beliefs and history. Font and size make it easy to read, in all, the best Catholic Bible I have found (and I'm very picky and researched a lot of them!!)

I love this bible. The leather bound cover feels wonderful when holding the book while reading. It's not too hard... not too soft. The pages have the gold edging which isn't really a plus or minus for me. The pages are very thin... but this allows for the complete bible in a compact package that's easy to carry. If you had thicker pages, the bible would need to be much bigger or the print much smaller. I just ordered and received the 4th of these that I have owned. The first two were gifts and I have purchased two myself. I keep buying them because I also keep giving them away :) When I encounter someone who admires it and we talk about it... I usually wind up filling in the gift page and handing it to them and asking them to please enjoy it. I will continue to buy and give away this bible as long as I'm moved to do so :)

Great Bible to have in helping strengthen my Catholic faith. In addition, I like the 'ENCYCLOPEDIC DICTIONARY' at the end of the Book, which defines and explains most Catholic terms daily used in the Church. I am glad to have this Bible.

Purchased for myself. As the first Catholic bible I've owned since childhood, this one is perfect. High quality. 100% recommended!

The first thing I noticed about this NABRE Bible upon its arrival was the size. It (at least for me) looks a lot smaller in the pictures. However, the large size is a very nice positive, as my other Bible, which I use as more of an everyday, carry around Bible has very small text in my opinion.The second thing about this Bible is the quality of which it is made. The leather cover is smooth, soft, and supple, the text and layout is a nice large size and fairly simple, the pages are very crisp, and there is an abundance of nice features and extras.Something that is very nice about this Bible as opposed to my other is that it has so many extra things. There are maps, guides, a list of all of the Catholic Popes, a Catholic encyclopedic dictionary, a prayer Rosary, and many other nice features.I highly reccomend this as a reading Bible, but not so much for on the go. I use this one for home use and general reading and reference, and my other Bible for everyday school use. Though one could carry it around, it is not ideal for that. The size is awesome and Bible is quality, and it is definitely a solid buy, worth the money!
