Q: Is this shirt solid or would it need a tank top under it?

You would not need a tank top however.... order 2 sizes larger... all my Just My Size Shirts I get at Walmart I get 2x and it's fine.... I purchased 3x due to reviews and after washed WAY too short and too tight.

Q: Is this shirt stretchy? I cannot find t shirts for women that are not stretchy!

It’s 100% cotton with no Lycra and not like all of the really stretchy clingy shirts out there now. Nice weight soft cotton knit.
