Perfect for Detecting
First and foremost, as a metal detectorist I am out on the fields or on a beach in the worst of the UK weather. Having the correct equipment and suitable clothing is my No1 priority.This bib and brace set was at an attractive price point and it said they are lightweight, waterproof, windproof and breathable.The most important requirements for staying comfortable and warm is having a high standard of waterproofness, as there is nothing worse than getting wet when the heavens open or your kneeling on damp grass, mud or sand.Next is windproof. This is often overlooked but is really important when it is cold and windy. Windproof clothing ensures you are protected from the chill of the wind allowing your body temperature to remain stable. It also allows you to layer clothing ensuring you remain warm without sweating.Breathability allows you to wear this bib and brace set for a full day's detecting in any weather without getting the sweat and damp patches you associate with standard non-breathable waterproofs.Overall, I rate these with a 5 star. I have been out in the worst of weather and the bib and brace has performed brilliantly. The fact that they are lightweight results in forgetting they are even on. They remain comfortable all day and there is no strap slippage on the shoulders due to the back clip.Highly recommended and great value for money.
