4 Year (Outdoor warning system use) review.
Surprisingly Powerful and Reliable Siren for Its Size This little 12-volt motor siren has been an absolute powerhouse. I’ve had it for about four years now, and it’s still going strong. It’s used to cover the smaller end of my town for emergency alerts ... mainly tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings ... and it’s never let me down. Recently, I gave it a bit of maintenance and noticed some surface rust on the housing and bolts from being out in the weather for so long. Honestly, it gives the siren a bit of character. I’ll probably end up retiring it eventually, maybe replacing it with the VXS9080SCL, but I’m also considering restoring it just because of how reliable it’s been. While doing maintenance, I did accidentally strip out one of the bolt holes. That was on me ... I over-tightened it against rusty threads, and now it spins freely. I still plan to repair it because the siren is absolutely worth keeping in working order. If you’re looking for a small, effective warning siren ... whether for a vehicle, rooftop, or pole-mounted setup ... this one is a great choice. It’s loud enough to cover close to a mile in open areas. My area has a lot of buildings and trees, but even with all that, you can still hear it from about half a mile away without having to strain. For the price, it’s honestly a steal. It does exactly what it’s supposed to, and it does it well. Great for anyone looking to set up a small-scale alert system for small area coverage such as a RV park or small park!

As described
It was exactly as described and is loud but it has a rattle when it gets wound up all the way. We will see how long it lasts

Works good on a town car
It works really good. The instructions were helpful. It worked with the wiring and only downside wasn't loud enough, but other than that it is a really good product.

Good but bad
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Loud and great sound but raddles at peak sound and the bracket is extremely cheap and flimsy and broke after less than a month. I put it on a Harley so it needs to withstand the motor shaking and failed.

I bought it to mount on an old jeep. Mounting bracket is a little flimsy. I wasn’t sure how waterproof it is, so I mounted it under the hood and it is still fairly loud. Nephews love it!
