8V MAX Cordless Drill/Driver (BDCD8C)

I live in a studio apartment and needed just enough power to put together furniture and small tasks. This is the perfect size, holds a long charge and easy to change out bits. I was looking for a small unit with a big name (Black & Decker). It has a lot of power. I have used it as a drill, and a driver and also other bits. Since I bought it, I still have not charged it more than once. Stores away easy in a small cabinet or possibly a drawer (I am limited storage space). This was perfect for me and no removable battery. I highly recommend again for smaller jobs - and for the price, you cannot beat it.

Nice lightweight gun for a great price. Has decent power, and battery life. Got one for my 10 year old son who's taken a real interest in construction and building things, and he loved it. However he also lost the charging cable immediately. Its a one-of-a-kind plug, so there's no replacing the cable alone. I liked it enough (and the price was decent enough) that i figured I'd just get him another one, so that he could at least use the same charger for both guns and have one for drilling and one for screw driving. Of course we found the lost cable a couple days after the second one arrived, but I just kept both because I really like the guns and having both was working out well for him. Would definitely recommend for a first driver, or for anyone who needs a lightweight, compact screw gun for minor house projects. Obviously wouldn't recommend for large jobs or heavy-duty applications.

I was looking for a drill to do some small projects with around the house and this one totally fits the bill. I am very inexperienced with tools, and I have inherited a ton of drill bit however I did not have a drill to use them with. I was in the market for something lightweight but powerful enough to actually work. This drill is super easy to use. It charges with my cell phone charger which is crazy cool. It was easy to see what button to push for the drill to screw something in and what to push for the drill to pull something out again. It was also easy to get different bits in and out. So far I've used the drill to install a clothesline, I drilled into our shed and a tree for that and was able to drill into both types of material without any problem at all. And I also used the drill to hang some random stuff off walls. Its powerful enough that I haven't had any trouble getting things done, but not so powerful that I have to be afraid I might cause major damage to myself or others. This drill seems perfect for all those little projects that come up around the house.

Serviceable drill, did its job with various household repairs, but it grew noticeably weaker over time. After 3-4 years, it could barely tunnel through the drywall no matter how long we charged it or what head we used. Keep this in mind when considering a drill that lasts.

Very good lightweight drill and screwdriver. The size is excellent for average hands. I am very pleased with the operation of this mahand held machine.

I have used this for a few years for repairs around the house. It is not a high powered drill but it has held up well for light work and is overall a good product for the price if it is not something you plan to use daily

I purchase it in September 2020. I read and followed instructions on charging. Plug into Drill first BEFORE you plug it in. Unplug from the wall FIRST then remove plug from Drill. I never knew that, and my previous drills never lasted long. This one is still going strong January 2026.

I bought this one to replace the previous model as I had lost the charger. The previous model had 10 torque setting as well as drill mode. This new model is just one speed. No torque setting. The rpm isn't very high. It's ok for basic light weight drilling. The lack of torque setting means it's not as good for using driver bits. It's small size makes it usable is much smaller spaces than a full sized drill. Basically the ONLY 2 reasons I bought this over another brand were 1. the old model was fantastic and 2 this new model has USB charging. ( and not a dedicated charger is likely to get lost) Anyway is DOES NOT come with a micro USB charging port as shown in the product description. I did check the reviews. Some people say is does have a micro USB port. So perhaps there are two versions. Just be aware that the one I recieved was a dedicated and unique b&d proprietary charging port and charger and not micro USB. That's the reason for the 3 stars though honestly I would never have bought it knowing this as I lost the charger to the old one. And also the previous model charger is not compatible with this one.

- product seems new but should have informed that this is not the original - does not come with usb cable, and charging port is different from advertised - black and decker logo is sticker only unlike the original - i will yet to check if item is durable

Es un buen desarmador electrico que tiene la potencia suficiente para trabajos sencillos como repisas o muebles normales y la batería tiene buena capacidad, desde que lo recibí hace unas dos semanas, lo cargué el tiempo como piden las instrucciones y ha aguantado las pocas tareas que tengo en casa. Actualizacion: el producto me llego el 29 de diciembre 2020 y lo puse a cargar como lo indican las instrucciones, el uso que le doy es esporadico deacuerdo a las necesidades de las tareas de la casa y, apenas el dia 6 de junio de 2021 me acaba de pedir que lo ponga a cargar de nuevo, excelente duracion de bateria

It's nice and small. Good for working in tight spaces. Also very lightweight, with an ergonomic grip. The initial charge (USB-only charging) took 8-hours until the charge light indicated a full charge (by turning off) Plenty of power. I was using it to fix my easy chair / mechanism / parts had come loose. FIVE STARS out of five!

Tiene poco tiempo que lo adquirí, pero hasta el momento estoy muy contenta con este artículo, es muy ligero y práctico, de acuerdo con la calidad y el precio

Very lightweight and practical. Have been using it for all my DIY at home.
