This does a good job of making sure brand new records are nice and clean of any leftover dust or debris, particularly if it's in a paper jacket. It makes a noticeable difference on the fidelity of used records. It's also great for removing dust attracted by statics electricity. I use this just before playing any record.

Not as good as I wanted

Nice little tool. I wouldn't use it for a record with grit on it or one that is extremely dirty, for that I give it a bath in the Spin-Clean. But for a quick brushing off of the factory dust on a new record it's perfect.

I use the roller as a "last step" in my cleaning process. After wet clean, vacuum treatment, and proper storage, I occasionally find stray dust and maybe a cat hair here and there when I go to play the record. This works fantastic as a spot cleaner when you queue up a clean record that some specs of dust/hair that is on the surface. I do think its more effective than using an anti static brush, as this removes with one pass. Even tho this doesn't clean the grooves, I feel its great for preventing dirt from working into and clinging to those grooves. Also prevents extra debris from accumulating on the stylus. Now cleaning the roller can be tricky, but I found washing your hands and using your fingers after gets alot of dust off, and once dry you can repeat as needed. This way I have removed about 95% of dust from the roller.

I just can’t begin to describe how happy I am with this. Keep in mind that this is not for deep cleaning. This is for removing dust from an otherwise clean record. And for that, nothing else works like this!I’ve used expensive velvet and carbon fiber brushes before, and they just don’t work. They inevitably build up more static on the record and they just push the dust around. It takes a lot of effort to get all the dust off, and you’ll never get all of it with those.This thing picks everything up upon first contact. It leaves the record absolutely pristine after a single swipe across each area.If you’re on the fence, just buy it. It’s very inexpensive and you won’t be disappointed.

It works great but needs a bag or box to keep everything neat.
