Mr. HeaterMH500LPT Hand Held Torch

This unit works exactly as described, and we are very happy with it. No problems with it failing to light. Yes, it is heavy to carry around, especially when you add a 2-1/2-gallon propane cylinder, but we wanted something sturdy that would stand up to heavy use, and this is it.

The torch isn't strong enough to burn things quickly. Will help light things on fire if you are patient but not possible at all to do shou sugi ban which should be easy for this size but I think the opening is too large to work correctly.

Torch is working well for starting brush fires.

Love this torch, besides the hose is very stiff and cracked within a short time of use of less than 3 months . So that's why I gave 3 stars

The product works well but I don't think the hose is going to last very long. It is not very flexible so I would imagine that the material is not real good.

I don’t ever write reviews. I especially do not like write bad ones. I always try to keep it positive. But this time I had to write a review. I bought this item at a local propane shop. It broke at the nozzle in very short order. Thinking that one of my guys was just hard on it. I quickly reordered another from Amazon to replace it. When the new one came in. It was already loose and almost completely broken at the nozzle. I placed a return though Amazon which they very quickly sent me another(cuz Amazon is awesome). When the second one arrived (which was the third one I had purchased) it was already broken off at the nozzle before we even pulled it from the box! This product has a issue with the way the nozzle is Assembled. I would just buy one of the more expensive ones available from Amazon. This item has a serious problem.

prefect for lighting a fire pit or mesquite smoker...which is the reason I bought it

I've used many different torches over the years and I gotta say bang for buck you won't beat this one. It has great control over the flame and if you need full power wow does it give it. I am very happy with this torch especially with the price. Great job .

This seems to be a well made product (with the exception of the sparkler - which is rubbish).Unfortunately, I think the torch opening is a bit too large. As a consequence, it is highly susceptible to wind and doesn’t seem to focus the flame enough to kill the weeds (not without spending a long time on each weed in any event)

Used the torch to burn the weeds around my barn. Gas lines became frozen after a few minutes and the pressure drop was so drastically that it was not much more than a small flame. After I added a pressure regulator to the tank I used it to weed my garden. Used it continuously for about half an hour, worked fine. I would not recommend this product to anyone who doesn't know how to add a pressure regulator.

This thing is powerful. Been using it for burning weeds in a rock garden. Works great! Probably used more propane than a smaller weed torch but you can control the flow with the valve

Works really well, throws off a ton of heat. Easy to control flame intensity using adjustment knob on handle. Great for weeds on gravel, interlock and river rock but not for close up work - be careful around plants you don't want to kill and around wood, plastic and other flamables/meltables.
