Magic Pickle And The Creature From The Black Legume Mass Market Paperback – September 1, 2009

My daughter and nephew hate to read but they read these and would not put them down! they would laugh out loud reading them

My 10 year old loves these books. Looked for graphic novels for him and came across these. Time to get more.....

The format of this book is a bit different than the original Magic Pickle. The original Magic Pickle Graphic Novel was full color cartoon style while this one is black and white with cartoons intermixed with narrative text. Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the difference and so you know what you are getting. For my 6 year old the original was much more interesting although this was good also it was not what we expected.

My grandson loved these books. He read them as fast as he got them.

I haven't read these so cannot vouch for them. But my son did like them and these were the first books that he would sit and read by himself for an hour at a time so I have to at least give this series credit for that.

tons of fun. this little guy is the coolest/cutest hero i've seen in a long time. the story's fun, the dialogue between MP and the captured villains in the cell at the end is awesome and so funny. I want a shirt and action figure of this guy. perfect book for early readers. it's shorter, with funny dialogue and lots of action and great art. its a great blend of creative and zaney. will be buying the rest of the books. :)

Disappointed. Our son asked for it because he liked the first one but unlike the first one. The first one is a comic book with dramatic drawings. All of the Magic Pickle books, except for the first one, are chapter books. Although our son now loves chapter books, he feels too old for the Magic Pickle chapter books. He was looking forward to the drawings in these books but they are very few of them here.
