Wow! - This movie will touch your heart deeply very deeply. It stars Varun Dhawan, Banita Sandhu, and Gitanjali Rao. This is one of the very best performance given by actor Varun Dhawan and he has gained a lot of respect from me after watching this movie for showing that he too can act like a seasoned actor. Excellent performance by each and every one in the cast. Most importantly, I think Avik Mukhopadhyay's view and capturing the shots are superb. Hats off to you Sir! You definitely deserve an award for excellent cinematography.The film shows the life of a hotel-management intern played by Varun Dhawan (Danish "Dan" Walia) who takes care of his fellow intern Banita Sandhu (as Shiuli) She is shown in the movie as Dan's subordinate trainee, named after the flower Shiuli, because of her affection for it. Shiuli unexpectedly encounters a serious accident (This sudden unexpected event changes the movie instantly) and thus starts a chain reaction of events and Dan gets involved with Shiuli's family in the hospital. His unconditional, unconventional caring for Shiuli is portrayed beautifully by Varun Dhawan. Gitanjali Rao as Prof. Vidya Iyer, Shiuli's mother performance is superb so are each and everyone in the cast to be honestThis movie is made in a very thoughtful manner, A film that shows about love, deep grief, mortality, and most importantly, the making of a man (Danish AKA "Dan" Walia)... No here spoilers.. But this movie will touch your heart, deeply very deeply.Rating with five stars!

Words can't describe the beauty and glory of this movie. I am discovering it rather late - but this is one of the greatest movie made in the Indian subcontinent. The story, dialogues, settings and acting - all of it came together to make something so magical. Thank you, Juhi Chaturvedi for this gift to mankind.

Liked it. Much more mature subject and realistic portrayal to an extent. OK acting by Varun. Liked that there were no unrealistic songs in the middle , no cheesy scenes. Much like in real life. That much was good.Entire movie hinged on Varun's role. The director could have used much more thought it bringing out the feelings. His emotional involvement was lacking, not sure if he was curtailed by director and that was his choice. I believe if not that movie would have been much better. But somehow it lacked the depth.All in all ... It was not a waste of time. But they could have hastened it. Additionally I don't know if it was necessary for Shiuli to ..... in the end.

Gruesome story; slow build up. Do not recommend. Stupid story.

I went into this movie not knowing anything about the story, the director, or the actors. It caught me off guard because this is truly a poetic masterpiece. We have this main character who seems to be self-centered, and perhaps has obsessive-compulsive disorder. This could be any of us, with our selfish egos. However, something tragic happens, and he matures so much. He truly finds himself, by giving of himself. It's the paradox of life and love: to be broken, in order to be made whole. Destroying that part of us that is prideful and taking things for granted. I hope I'm not giving away any spoilers, but just wanted to counteract some of the negative reviews on here.I could watch this movie again because it's so beautifully filmed and acted. The humor is very subtle, focused on little character quirks and moments. It's very philosophical, and you'll wonder how you would behave under similar circumstances. I value the positive message that this movie has, that life is not meaningless, though it may be hard and lonely sometimes. I think it has a strong message of hope.

the most beautiful movie I have seen in the recent past, everything is perfect about this, the pace, the plot, the screenplay, the direction and of course story and direction. I knew before starting the movie that Shoojit - Juhi duo won't disappoint me but this was way more than what I expected - a story of a selfless human and his relationship without any expectation. This is what every human being wants to become deep down inside him but the life doesn't let us do that but here comes a character that overcomes every obstacle and still does what he feels right. Varun has done a fantastic job performing his character in the film and so has the rest of the cast. We always have a fear of losing someone so close to us in our life, that pain can't be expressed in words, but here you feel that pain while watching the climax scene of the movie without any intense drama. This movie has moved me beyond words and has created a deep impact on my life.

I was very skeptical to watch this movie and put it on hold for a long time even it was on Amazon just because of Varun. I really like him in this movie. Shoojit made a daring movie and also took a bold decision to take Varun in this. I am all praise for Varun now that he did not mess with the movie heart and le the director ran the show. He came out as a winner.Varun, Let me tell you, brother, You have great talent..dodon't waste it by doing scrappy movies and don't try to be a Salman Khan ( He is never a good actor). You can define your career what kind of movies you choose.everyone, Great watch!!! go watch and feel it....

Heart touching portrayal of what a family goes through when a loved one goes through a life threatening condition, especially if it is a neural condition. Varuna Dhawan delivers on his character with his quirkiness mixed with innocence and an inability to grasp the practicality of everyday life. He has the ability to do really well when challenged with a sensible plot, one wonders the loss of precious time and skills when a movie like judwaa 2 comes out. One of the most complex characters I have seen in modern Hindi cinema. Kudos Shoojit!

Good blue ray , since film is mostly shot in dark , dvd might not give that satisfaction.

Please be careful for yourself.Otherwise, it may stun the life of yours and others who love/like you.That's the message I got from this story.This story to me is an example of kindness, generosity, friendship .... such good nature of Indian people.The life is so precious.Let's be careful to live the wonderful life.
