So, I thought I'd test it straight out the box.... And, 3 hrs later, there I was. Still testing....
I really can't fault this controller. Straight out the box, hooked the Wi-Fi dongle to a spare USB and thought I'd give Tomb Raider Remastered a shot....And, as the title relays - 3 hrs later, there I was, still testing Tomb Raider. Purely in the interests of investigative rigour, naturally. What particularly impressed me is the fact I have a really dodgy USB multiport - only thing I can plug into - just not enough USB's on the front of my PC - and the connection didn't drop once. I can hook up my tablet, and it will drop the connection multiple times in a row (even with a new cable, which turns out to have been a waste), but the connection between the dongle and controller worked seamlessly throughout. I'm set up on an old Win 7 machine, nothing fancy - Windows detected the dongle and loaded the necessary drivers perfectly. Also tested on my PS3 - worked like a charm, just like it says on the box. The controller can function with a number of built-in emulators, you can just switch between each if necessary. I didn't have to, but the option is there if you need it. Haven't tried it on Android yet, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.Should that be a problem, I'll update this review.Build wise, the controller itself is actually very good. Nothing flimsy, both sticks are very responsive, D-Pad works just like on a PS3 - buttons all function. You can map the controller's TURBO function to any button, as necessary - shoulder buttons are both sharp and responsive, as you would expect. I've paid more for authentic games controllers and this has more functionality with no discernable decrease in performance. There's no off or on button, you just hook up the dongle to your device, your device loads the appropriate drivers - that's it, just press connect on the controller same as you would on a regular console controller.Switching off consists of either ejecting the dongle from the USB on your PC or else powering down your regular console. The Controller will switch itself off after 30 seconds of no signal - it also has a sleep mode if connected to save battery. All very neat, very easy.Charging is via a USB-B to C cable. If connected to the USB on a PC/Console/Device, full charge should take around 2 hours - the indicator lights on the handset will flash throughout charging and stay lit once fully charged. If charging via a tablet/phone charger, the indicator lights will flash throughout charging and switch off when fully charged - it distinguishes between power sources. In the interest of full disclosure I probably wouldn't have thought to splash-out on this at the price I paid - something around 40% off - making it perhaps indistinguishable from any other "cheap" game controller on the market, we're it not for the good reviews - I think deserving. Pleased I took the punt though, very pleased to have got it at a reduced price, though it's undoubtedly worth the full price value - it's just I probably wouldn't stretch to his full retail price on a punt. So, all in - a bit of a good purchase. If you're considering, I'd say definitely go for it while the price is reduced - I personally hate buying controllers because there's always such a hoo-ha about subjective value for money. However, under £20.00 for a wireless game controller is a good price, and in this instance definitely a smart purchase.Very pleased I don't have to throw my keyboard around in frustration any more, any time I play a PC game - and even more relieved is my keyboard. Double bonus points for this controller's connectivity with other devices, responsiveness and battery usage seems great, even straight out the box, it just works.TURBO mapping is just the icing on the cake waiting for a chance to dust off Peacewalker for.All in the name of investigative rigour, obviously....

Great replacement for the PS3 controller. No set up required.
Bought this as a replacement for one of my old PS3 controllers that's now covered in battery fluid. I was a bit hesitant because I know how finnicky PlayStations can be when it comes to foreign devices. The item arrives and I unbox it. So far so good. Very simple, just the controller, a reciever, and like a 3 page manual smaller than my palm.Literally no messing around was needed, I turned the PS3 on, plugged in the reciever, switched on the controller and bam, instant connect. The range of the controller was enough to span my entire living room, so that's good. PS3 USB ports are generally useless anyways so I don't mind at all having the receiver take up space. If you are using your USB slots for something else however then just keep that in mind.I decided the best way to check put the controller was to play some games, duh. Played a bunch, very responsive controller. It feels firm and solid, and the button presses feel good too. It doesn't really feel cheap at all. The shape is exactly like that of an Xbox controller, and compared to the PS3 controller this is much more ergonomical. I'm a tall guy with "piano hands" so when I play with PS controllers my fingers tend to extend and meet behind the controller. With this though it's very comfortable. The controller is also DualShock, vibrations also feel solid.Tried these out for a few hours for two days and it was still going strong. Great value for money, very glad I bought it.I will mention though that the receiver is made of very weak material and should be made a bit more sturdier. In one case, I almost snapped it when turning my PlayStation to put the cables in. My fault though and I won't be doing that again lol. I'll also mention the charging port is a little odd. I have tons of micro USB cables but none will fit this, as it's more an iPhone/Samsung S9/10 style of charger (kinda oval).

Great Device, Great Design, Great Value
Beautiful understated design in Black with Grey accents down to the face buttons. The design is reminiscent of the XBOX 360 controller, which sets the comfort bar for my medium-large hands very high: we've a good, comfortable grip here, with room to wrap fingers snugly around the underside. I miss resting my curled fingers against the 360 controllers' battery bump, but the times, they are a-changin'.All inputs feel great, though I would appreciate a little more resistance and precision in the thumbsticks, as aiming accurately in the games I play, Fortnite and Minecraft, could be improved, as could the default dead-zone in allowing for more controlled, incremental movements. Extremely tactile bumpers press quickly with a satisfying, but loud, click. Triggers feel good, but would be improved by greater resistance against my pull. It's noteworthy that within three months of regular play, my right trigger has become a little loose and squeaky, something that did not happen in ten years with my original XBOX 360 Elite controller.Red LED ring stable when powered on, "spins" when searching for USB receiver, flashes when low, off when fully charged. Auto-off after some minutes of inactivity. Effortless plug and play, practical manual, impressive range and phenomenal battery life, always in significant excess of 10hrs playtime.Overall, 7/10: great design, decent controls, gets the job done.Purchased around £25.

Best one in the range at the right price
I have waited what feels like an eternity for this one to be back in stock! It's the most ergonomic with beat battery bang for buck. So what if it doesn't have lots of exciting leds like the others. I suspect that thisnisnwhybthebbattery is so good. Both the fancy ones I purchased have broken down. £58, wasted. But this Nissan my favourite and the price came down to perfection, so I snatched it at the right time. Highly recommend. Perfect functionality. Great vibration. Easy 5stars.
