Good to use
The writing nib lead is quite thick on these, there are very few options for these types of pens. They are fit for purpose, smooth writing

Not what I hoped they'd be
As an 80's child, I remember the Bensia brand pencils of the same idea. They were superb. These have a few problems: 1) The lead is thick and soft like a crayon. It writes well but not if you were going to write anything serious past second year at school... 2) The cartridges are thin and soft, they don't inspire the confidence that the originals did... 3) The caps (of the pencil and of the eraser) aren't really gripping anything and will just fall off... I am giving an overall acceptable score, as you do get quite a few of those for the money and for a child, these will do just fine. I will keep searching for an original Bensia :)
