I have found this line works just as well, if not better than various fly fishing specific fluorocarbon tippets. I regularly use the 4 pound and 6 pound for nymphing clear streams for trout. The 8 pound and 10 pound are perfect for steelhead. The material holds knots very well and has excellent abrasion resistance.Another benefit apart from the cost savings is that I am able to refill the smaller fly fishing style tippet spools directly with this line instead of purchasing new smaller tippet spools. Reusing the spools is better for the environment!

Not the thinnest, not the most abrasion resistant, and not the strongest, but IMO it is the best all around fluorocarbon on the market that isn't ridiculously expensive. Have used it for years with zero issues.

Is not the perfect like higher cost Fluro but does the job. I use for fishing bladed jigs and swim jigs. Had held up fine. Do have to change more than more expensive line but for the cost works great.

Best flouro line I have ever used. Used to use Stren and got very irritated breaking off lures and losing fish. Tried Seagar and never looked back. Line has incredible strength for the lb. rating and has great abrasion resistance. Fish landing percentage greatly increased and lure retention on hang ups greatly increased as well. I will be a loyal customer and promoter of this product as long as the quality remains the same.

Really clean material, no frays or splits, doesn't kink when taken off the spool like other lines, really pleased with it. I've tried a lot of different makes over the years but I think this will be my go-to from now on.
