Black Skin, Blue Books: African Americans and Wales, 1845-1945: African Americans and the Welsh (Writing Wales in English)

Astonishingly well researched and written
What can I write to truly emphasise just how thoroughly I enjoyed this book. Quite possibly the most compelling, informative and insightful read of this genre that I have ever read. Anyone from graduates, undergraduates to casual readers will surely find this as riveting a read as I did. The parallel history of the treatment of blacks and Welsh people is stark and shocking in equal measure. Predominantly, the links were, though not all, about literacy, language and the British establishments attempts at controlling others. The depth of knowledge this author has on the subject is a wonder to behold and I first one, am profoundly grateful.
