The Polymer Clay Techniques Book

Great book for beginners and more advanced clay enthusiasts.
This is is an excellent resource for people interested in working with polymer clay (the kind that you bake in the oven). I’m returning to this craft after a very long hiatus, and wanted a book that would get me back up to speed. It covers all of the basic techniques and some that are more advanced. Plus the author provides a supply list, and where tiy can buy them, although most stuff is available through Amazon, etc. Pretty decent instructions, copious illustrations, examples of artists’ work, and directions for little projects. Some of the directions could be a bit more detailed, but mostly they’re very good for both beginners and more seasoned veterans. Recommend highly.

Best Book for Both Beginners and Non-Beginners !! ( ' u ^)
I purchased this book using a Amazon gift card my bestie gave me for my Birthday. The shipment of this book was quite fast ! But what I love the most is what's inside the book. I wouldn't call myself a beginner but more an intermediate-tiny bit advanced skilled Polymer clay artist and this book contains alot of information and techniques some of which I didn't even know about. There's plenty of project ideas and it goes through everything you practically need to know about Polymer Clay techniques. It has lots of beautiful pictures in high detail and is a book that will be useful time and time again as a refresher and to pass on to friends even children who would like to dabble in the art of Polymer clay work. I especially love the page where they compare different Polymer clay brands and rate them by durability and baked results. (-ʌ-) Kinda sad to know my clay brand I use got voted the lowest. Overall this book is a MUST-HAVE whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced skilled this is a book I'd recommend you get !!

If you plan to sculpture with CLAY consider this book 1st!
I was pleasantly surprise once I received this book and found myself captivated by the detailed. When I ordered from "OrderFromMe!" little did I realize my books would have extra wrapping to protect their delivery process. Reading within the pages of these chapters offers ideas to accomplish my projects in workable methods. I chose to sculpture to help my stress levels. But I may be walking into enjoyment by learning a skill I can offer my granddaughter. Excellent read. Should you find you want to make jewelry try; "Making Polymer Clay Beads: Step-by-Step Techniques for Creating Beautiful Ornamental Beads" and have fun while looking smart

Really useful book!
This is a great starter book for those new to polymer clay, it goes over so many of the different techniques. It can almost be called a dictionary of clay techniques, look up ones you hear about and then try out. I really recommend this book for an overall guide. The directions are easy to follow and you can probably figure out how to change and adapt the techniques to create something new and improved. If you like experimenting and like to see various ways to use polymer clay this is the book to start with! I have a limit amount of money that I can spend on books outside of my school books, and so I am extremely picky on what ones I buy, and this one I feel was a good investment. Its older than some of the other books I have gotten, but in no way is it obsolete. It really is a good backbone for learning.

Substanial Book!
The number of years this book has been selling on Amazon speaks volumes about about the credibility of the author and the quality of this collection of tutorials. Having recently published my on polymer clay book, Hinged Clay Bracelets: New Ways To Link Polymer Clay Bracelet Parts, I know what it takes to compile the information and create the projects necessary for a substantial book. Sue Heaser makes it look easy and packs more than 50 techniques in 128 pages! Most reviews talk about the versatility of clay but don't focus on the fact that no matter how versatile it is, without techniques, you won't know what to do with it. That's where Sue expertly guides you with clear images and directions. I would recommend this book to any clay crafter or artist.
