The shake-awake works instantly, the solar backup is clutch, and the reticle options (2 MOA dot or 32 MOA circle) make target acquisition stupid easy. The green dot is crisp, bright, and doesn’t wash out in sunlight. The aluminum housing feels tough enough to survive a small meteor strike, and once it’s zeroed, it stays zeroed. Parallax-free, super clear glass, and the battery basically lasts longer than most New Year’s resolutions. If you want a rock-solid optic that performs way above its price, this is it. Your handgun will feel upgraded the moment you mount it. Review: Very nice addition to .22LR target pistol - I put this green dot on my Volquartsen target pistol (which is based on Ruger Mark IV) with a 6" barrel. On a day with a light breeze, I can hit metal gongs at 200 yards. This pistol is .22LR, so the bullet does not make a big sound at long distances. I am fairly certain that I have made a few hits at 300 yards, but sound feedback at 300 yds is hard to be certain of. Anyways, I love this green dot. Compared to iron sights, it is a night and day difference. 10 out of 10 on paper targets at 100 yds with a .22 pistol seems pretty good to me. From bench rest, of course. Zero in using targets at 25 and 50 yards, and then you're good to go at almost any disatance. ## Features - HOLOSUN GREEN DOT SIGHT - The HE507C-GR X2 is an open reflex sight designed for full-sized pistol applications; This handgun sight features Lock Mode that locks the buttons preventing inadvertent setting changes; T10 L Key, CR1632 Battery, Lens Cloth, and User Manual are included - HIGH PERFORMANCE - The HE507C-GR X2 pistol sight features Holosun's Green Super LED with up to 50k hour battery life, Solar Failsafe, Multi-Reticle System, and Shake Awake; The durable housing is made from 7075 Aluminum, uses an industry standard footprint, and houses the 1632 battery in a side-mounted tray for easy replacement when needed - SHAKE AWAKE TECHNOLOGY - Extends battery life by deactivating the optic's LED while not in use; Shake Awake offers settings from 10 minutes to 12 hours depending on the model and can be deactivated altogether if preferred; The slightest touch of the optic instantly reactivates the LED so your Holosun reflex sight for pistol is ready when needed - SOLAR FAILSAFE - If your battery fails, this green dot sight for pistol has a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available; Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted: in brighter conditions, you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions, the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions - SPECIFICATION - Reticle: Green 2 MOA Dot & 32 MOA Circle; This must be on the packaging somewhere, and also in the description of this item. A lot of optics are mistakingly "excluded" from shipping to CA because of this. And the listers are clueless as to how to "uncheck" the box that Amazon turns on automagically when listing these items. **Q: Will this fit the Springfield xdm elite osp and what plate do I use?** A: Springfield uses the SMS footprint (Shield) standard. On my XDS, the SMSc or RMSc (Again Shield) fits best are those are the same width as the slide on that pistol. You will need an adapter for this (holosun) to fit. Holosun uses a MODIFIED SMS However. Which means that if you're willing to grind off the rear two mounting lugs, and lower the height of the front two (grind down) it'll fit on like a glove. WARNING: Check with someone who knows before you do any modification to your slide!!! This worked great for me, but I can not guarantee that you'll have the same results. If you're not experienced at working on pistol slides, I strongly advise you take it to someone who is. I take no responsibility for any of this advice. **Q: Does this sight work with s&w m&p 2.0 ?** A: You don’t have to mill the slide. There are mounting plates that will use your rear sight dovetail. Look for EGW guns **Q: Is this the correct model for the FNX -45 tactical?** A: My 507c X2 fits just fine on my FNX-45 tact… ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Turns Your Pistol Into a Sci-Fi Movie Prop (In a Good Way) *by C***S on November 21, 2025* The HOLOSUN 507C X2 is the real deal.
