Excellent features at a bargain price
Purchased the Slimline Sat Nav for my sons car and on the basis of the reviews and excellent price . First impressions were good, accessories in the box appeared good quality and the Sat Nav itself seemed well made. Packaging was good and everything arrived in full working order. In use the screen size and clarity are good, maps and verbal directions are clear and accurate. Quickly finds GPS satellites, so no waiting around to find a signal. The only area that was a little confusing is that instead of having a dedicated box to enter the postcode of your destination you have to enter this into the Town/City box. This was quickly rectified with a quick review of the instruction booklet. My son uses the Sat Nav on a daily basis and is very pleased with it's performance and it appears sturdy enough and gives clear and accurate directions. The only minor drawback is that the unit cannot be charged via its USB input. If you want to charge it at home you would have to buy a dedicated mains charger or mains to cigarette lighter converter. This will probably not be a problem for most people as you would charge it as you drive around. However, the cigarette lighter/12v outlet does not work on my sons car, but it was easily rectified.Overall great purchase, good performance and value.

Great SatNav
This is a terrific piece of kit. It works faultlessly and is as straightforward to use as any I've encountered in the past. The mapping, voice directions and range of features are great. Can't praise the actual piece itself to highly. More than anything it represents fantastic value for money given that it works as well as much more expensive products from the big dogs in the market. I have given it 4 rather than 5 stars because the bracket for holding it is not so good. Before even trying it in the car I set if up on my desk with the SatNav attached to the sucker bracket and it fell off within 10 minutes each time. In the car the vibration made it even more prone to do this. I am working on a more reliable solution and I'm sure I will secure it okay by getting another type of holder or rigging one up with sticky back Velcro pads or something. I shouldn't have to do this really. If others have found a way of making this bracket work I'd be grateful to hear about it. The lack of written instructions about assembling the bracket was a little disappointing but seems increasingly typical of such products nowadays. The packaging was secure and the box was actually quite smart. Delivery was secure and it arrived ahead of the promised date so I'm impressed with that.

Massive Screen and Very Easy to Use
The media could not be loaded. This is by far the best Sat Nav I've had to date. It does Satellite Navigation perfectly but also has a whole host of other features. Set up takes no time at all and the mount is sturdy and flexible enough to position it however best suits you. The battery life is excellent and it lasts a lot longer than my previous devices. It comes with a USB cable car power supply as well as a mains power supply. The screen is really large and clear to read even in direct light. Its touch commands are very responsive and the menus and settings are simple to operate and change. The maps are accurate and up to date and the direction are easy to follow. What I really like is that you can also watch videos, view photos, play games, listen to music and Radio on this device. These are features that I'm using a lot, especially the music, and they are nice extras that I never had on my past device. Overall its a great device, easy to use, accurate and packed full of features. Great product.

Detailed Review
The Outside of the Device:The Pen for the touch screen, that you will likely never use is located on the back of the device. When installing the device on the suction cup, make sure you hard press the device down while holding the arm until you hear/feel it lock firmly in place. Otherwise the device is NOT properly installed on your windscreen and IT WILL FALL as you drive. The car charges is rather flimsy, but it works. The Inside:Software: I will ignore all of the ADD ONS, since I bought it for the sat nav function alone. The SATNAV function is fidley and there is a huge need for improvement on a lot of the aspects of how the device works.PROS: Works Lag Free almost all of the timeGood display even when it's sunnyDoesn't overheat unless you leave the sun to shine directly on itIt has battery that does it's jobTouch screen works goodAble to plan a route and display that route waypoints to you, so you see all locationsGood voice navigationCONS: Looking for POST CODE is not obvious and requires multiple clicks to do it.If the device warns you at any points of a restriction and you click REJECT, THE DEVICE WILL DELETE YOUR WHOLE ROUTE. I was on red route and the device did that to me, was not nice.At random the device fails to update the Speed Limit and will display random number. For me it displays 50 in a 30/20 zone sometimes.Another big issue is when it shows lanes, before trafic lights or roundabouts. Sometimes it shows in which lane you are supposed to be when you are already at the junction, instead of in advance. It will be nice to also be in the settings at what distance you will like lanes are trafic lights and roundabouts are shown. It doesn't have up to date Speed Limits for huge part of Major London Areas. It doesn't have up to date Post Codes for new buildings. It doesn't have up to date Streets, so far 4 times it tried to lead me to a street that have an appartment building at the end of it or a park.Weidth restrictions are not UP to date as well. So far it have tried to lead me 4 times trough 7 Feet restrictions when I set Size to 7.2.Huge ammount of the files inside the device are named 2015-2016, which means some maps haven't been updated in over 6 years???The support took almost a month to reply to my request to send me Software Update.TLDR: The device works most of the time flowlessly, altrough it doesn't have always up to date information it can still get you to where you need to go as long as you drive resposnibly and obey the Road Signs.

Very Easy to Use
I had my doubts about the product when I ordered it just because I wasn't familiar with the manufacturer. But the product arrived in perfect order and works fine. I've had a different brand before and it was pretty easy to translate my past experience to this new product. Set up was easy, usage very instinctive. Much to my surprise, there was LOTS of documentation available: 3 manuals plus a couple of videos. Again, it was so easy to use I haven't needed much help but for the few questions I had the answers were readily available. Noe suggestion I have is to set it for automatic time setting (it gets it from GPS signal I guess). By default it used manual time input.

Not updated version as stated
So I purchased the Navpal and it started out what I thought was ok, but after getting turned around on several occasions and comparing the timing on my cell phone with the navigation system I found out that the NAVPAL doesn't give the "FASTEST" route, it ACTUALLY makes the route LONGER. YES I have it set to take me the fastest route for example today I compared the drive time from my cell phone to the navpal and the navpal ADDED 10 minutes to my drive time. Luckily I knew where I was and where I needed to go, but THAT'S NOT GOOD! So I don't know about anyone else who have used it but you might want to compare your phone mapquest with the navpal and see what you get. I WILL BE RETURNING it for a refund.

Purchased navigator to use in United Kingdom
Received product and display is great, easy to use. Danny at customer service was very helpful in helping me set up the navigator to use in the United Kingdom. You can download the maps for the U.K. for this device. We are renting a car in the U.K., but we were not sure that the rental would come with gps. This product navigator is perfect, lightweight and has a toll free number to call should you have a question. Excellent product and the best part, light weight with easily viewed maps and great customer service. Thank you again Danny for all your help in getting this set up. Love this purchase!!!

It's not perfect but...
It's not perfect but at this price, it's very good and definitely unbeatable! My unit came in a well done packaging with US map (and Mexico and Canada's map inside the US folder) pre-installed in the unit. I'm only a business visitor here in the US so I have requested for European maps since I live there. They have sent me a link to download Europe's map and I have made a mistake of using a 200gb microSD card. The unit can detect and use the maps inside the SD card but it's not powering ON when the SD card is inserted. I have contacted them and they told me to use a 16gb SD card instead, I did that and the power ON problem was solved. I'm not sure why it didn't work with the bigger capacity card but as far as I know, small and big capacity SD cards uses different file system. Unfortunately, this issue was not written in any manual they have provided.Stability wise, it is very stable. I have seen complaints in some reviews that it was loose or falling down but mine is not, the suction woks well and sometimes it's actually hard to remove it from the wind screen. I also did not find any issue leaving it under the sun (34 degC) for a long time. The US maps though could use some updates as I found some new inner roads not available in the maps. I have never tried to use the European maps but I will when I'm back home.Mine doesn't have bluetooth but that's not an issue to me because I don't think I will be using it anyway. I have also read in some reviews that US edition really does not have Bluetooth.I like that it is powering on/off automatically when it is connected to the car through the charger, that is a well written program because it became part of the car, just like a built in GPS system. But the function that I like most is the "Where am I" button. (Maybe other brands have also this kind of function). This function must become mandatory in a GPS system due to safety and life saving reasons. A brief explanation is that when you push this button, the system will locate where you are and will provide presets button in case you need help to find the nearest police station, hospital, and other life saving institutes. The pouch that is advertised to come with system was not delivered to me, they have promised that they will send one a week ago but I have not received it yet. I don't even know if they have really send one.The video tutorials and instruction manual are well maid to make the experience more satisfactory, you just need to spend some time reading and viewing the instructions for ease of use.The screen is very good, no problem viewing it in the glaring sun and the slim body is great. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase, I just hope that it will last for a long time. As I have said, it is unbeatable at this price and will not be surprise if this will beat the higher end ones.Update: Apr 28, SwedenI had the opportunity now to try the unit here in Europe, particularly here in Sweden and there's not so much to say, the thing just works and it works beautifully :) It's really a good buy no doubt about it. And they have refunded me for the pouch being out of stock. Thanks NAVPAL's!
