Beautiful illustrations
The Illustrations are absolutely stunning and the stories are true to the originals. My only complaint is that there are several typos throughout the book, one being on the first page of the first story. It’s disappointing having such a beautiful book that wasn’t edited well. I would definitely buy again but hopefully these are corrected for future prints.

Wonderful collection
Beautifully illustrated....a wonderful compilation of Bernadette Watts' stories. Others saw my copy and ordered for themselves. A treasure to be kept.

Absolutely beautiful! 38 stories
Absolutely beautiful! 38 stories. Great mix of well knowns and should be knowns. The stories are a bit more raw than some may like. Cinderella's stepmother says "No, no! You slut, you have no clothes, and cannot dance; you shall not go." There is a level of authenticity that I think makes this book worth having.

Buyer beware!
Terrible—the stories are abridged. Do not buy.

Joyita fairy tales
Edición preciosa. Libro precioso. Ilustraciones preciosos.

Prefer the original versions
Although i love this illustrator, knowing her books I am very dissapointed in this collection. This collection is more about the text than the images, and I will continue to collect the original versions of her Fairytales, since they show all the images Bernadette made for each fairytale. In this book approx. 5 images per fairytale are printed, as where the original books have approx. 25 plates which are all so beautiful to look at. This book is a good first encounter for her work, but for smaller (3/ 4 year old) children and real artlovers I would go for the individual books. Also the very matte paper and cropping of the images don't show Bernadettes work at its best. I am keeping this book as a reference to see of which books I want to have the original
