Required Textbook
This is a required text book for my midwifery program. I initially rented the book but it has been required for multiple classes. The more I’ve gone through the book, the more I think I’ll add it to my bookshelf long term. The authors do a great job of detailing common procedures and diagnosis testing. I received the book very quickly

Excellent
I am so impressed my CNM program chose this text for my women's health/gyn course. I've only read a few chapters so far, but it is gender inclusive, discusses racial health disparities, and even features Stephanie Tillman's trauma-informed care. Very pleased to add this to my CNM resources, and excited to continue reading and learning.

I ordered this book used. However, the sticker on the front of the book says this is a rental.
I ordered a used copy of the book, however, I am unsure why the book arrived with a rental sticker on the cover. I reviewed my order so, it is unclear why there is a rental sticker on the cover of the book.

Are we losing focus of what's important?
When you get to the inner information of the book, it is okay. However, almost every chapter begins with a caveat about gender inclusive language and using terms such as male and female, man and woman. This is completely irrelevant to my learning and takes away from the relevant information in the book. Not only that, the first two chapters of the book focus on ideology, titled "A Feminist Perspective of Women's Health" and "Racism and Health Disparities". It uses Kimberly Crenshaw as a source and discusses how minorities will be capitalized, such as Black, while white will remain lowercase because equal treatment will whitewash cultural content, identity, and history. This book is about gynecological health care. Let's focus on that.

book arrived unbound
This book arrived with the first five chapters separated from the binding. The pages were all out of order and tattered. It is very disappointing, especially since the cost of textbooks like this are so high.

Very Liberal Controversial Viewpoint
This textbook was chosen by my school, and the views in this book are the opposite of Biblical, talking about extreme feminism, woman feminity and individualism as opposed to connection in relationships, and of course supporting the LGBTQ community.
