5 Stars. Great Knife. Super Price.
5 Stars. Great Knife. Super Price. The 3.5 inch D2 blade is sharp as a razor, holds its edge, is very strong, and looks great. I like a well-forged D2 blade much better than most blades available. The handle is slim (which I wanted), strong, and comfortable. The blade pivot is very strong. There is no wobble. It is also extremely easy to flip the blade out and to bring it back in. I have large hands. This knife gives me plenty of room for all 4 fingers, with my thumb on the checkered part of the blade. A 3.0 inch knife cannot do that. A 4 inch knife could land you in jail.It fits my purpose perfectly. I needed a street legal knife that I could carry in a sheath in my back pocket. It is not noticeable but I can deploy it in 2 seconds.. The knife is excellent for all kinds of work (cutting rope, cardboard, zip ties, camping, hunting, fishing, etc). It is also very adequate for self defense, and at 3.5 inches should not get you in trouble with the authorities.Thank you Ganzo for a first class, quality knife at a very affordable price !!!

Quality knife for the price
The media could not be loaded. This knife really exceeded my expectations. I got the green one and switched the clip to the other side because I am left handed. It flips out with ease has a nice weight to it, is a good size, and has a nice grip in the hand. It came razor sharp and ready to use. I really like the blade thickness and profile.

Smooth as Butter, Solid Blade
If this is really D2, it's not coated, so I'll want to keep it oiled and dry or it will rust. The factory edge is keen enough to shave paper and cardboard. The blade is pretty heavy and solid with no play when locked. Liner lock is beveled for easy access, but solid enough that I don't feel afraid it will buckle on my. The action is smooth as butter (ball bearings -- like a roller blade wheel). It's very satisfying to open, and there is a magnet to hold it closed, so you get a satisfying "thunk" as it comes back to closed position and stays there. It came factory-oiled lightly, so be aware of that when putting it in your pocket the first time. The handle is a bit strange for G10 (I like how Eafengrow does their handle better in this price range). The clip goes all the way to the top of the handle for pocketing, and it's pretty solid, maybe 9 mm steel with two bolts. It's a bit chunky for a EDC knife, but very sturdy and well made.

Good everyday knife
I like the way this knife opens easily with one hand. This is the second one of these knives I have bought. I lost the first knife because the clip that held it in my pocket bent and it was pulled out of my pocket. The clip is very weak on this knife. I think the knife clip caught on the seat belt.

Affordable, not cheap.
This is my first Ganzo Firebird knife, I collect knives and love budget blades just as much as a Spyderco or Benchmade. This knife feels nice and grippy and doesn't feel cheap. I will probably end up buying more from this brand as they catch my eye.

Misused, abused, and proven in the Field
I consider myself a knife user rather than a knife collector, but since I've been using them for decades I've ended up with a pretty good collection, including a few that are over 10x the price of this knife. Those are very nice knives but when I am working in the chemical industry field I don't take the Spydercos or Benchmades, I take the Ganzo FH91.This is my knife after about a year of hard field use. It has been used to cut hundreds of things, often things that shouldn't be cut with a knife. It has been used as a screwdriver when I found I needed to remove a conduit junction plate while down in a dike and forgot to bring a screwdriver. It has been used to pry glued plexiglass off of stainless steel...I managed to snap the tip off of it doing that, but no matter, I ground the end down into a modified sheep's foot and like it even better now. It has been doused in oxidizing acids and caustic soda (those aren't smudges in my photos, they're chemical etching), I rinse it off and call it good. Nearly anything that you can think of that one shouldn't do with a knife has been done with this knife and it continues to deliver, day after miserable day...In every way, this knife has proven to be capable as knives that cost hundreds more. The knife came razor sharp, holds an edge well, and resharpens easily. The blade remains dead-center in the handle despite the abuse. It feels solid in the hand, has good ergonomics, and still flips open easily with gloved hands and locks solidly despite its mechanism having been exposed to God-knows-what kind of chemical corrosives. The fit and finish might not be as good as my Spydercos but you'd have to look awfully close to notice, and if I broke the tip off of a multi-hundred dollar Spyderco it would be an annoying day. With the Ganzo it serves my purposes and if I lose it or manage to break it irreparably I'm out about the price of a pizza and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. In fact, I have bought another, as an inexpensive gift for a friend who just wanted a knife to keep in her purse for daily tasks, but I haven't needed to replace my field knife yet.I own a few other Ganzo knives and they all punch well above their price-points, but this one is the nicest in my experience.Highly recommended.
