The most important thing about charcoal to me is whether it irritates my throat or not. It seems that coals with a higher percentage of "volatile material" (i.e. 15-16%) cause more throat irritation. These coals, like Superior Coco, have a very low (6%) percentage of "volatile material." M. Rosenfeld's charcoal is right behind them at about 10%.WeeWorld coals produce usable heat for more than 90 minutes. They do produce a lot of ash and may crack after they have burned way down, but I don't consider this a big deal and I can't complain about the price.WeeWorld is one of my three favorite brands of hookah coal.

Typically the brand of coals I get for my hookah. I normally order 2 boxes at a time and they were sold out so I went with another brand and I won’t be using that other brand again. These coals pull smooth and doesn’t overpower the shisha. Also, the price is EXCELLENT!

This is the absolute worst charcoal to use. Definitely a waste of money, this was one package I wouldn’t have been mad about if it got lost in the mail. It takes forever for one piece of charcoal to get fully lit. To be honest I’m not sure of the time after 2-3 minutes of being lit with a torch lighter the cube was only lit and kind of warm on one small corner of the cube. I ended up buying a different brand of charcoal for my hookah at a better price from another seller. I wish I knew this would be a waste of money before my purchase.

No trouble at all getting these lit on the stove. One cube is sufficient to get decent smoke off a travel-sized hookah. If you’re sharing, you’ll probably want to throw two on as they can burn down pretty quickly. Overall—not bad. I like.

Not entirely sure what's different about these, but with my setup, they ash like nothing else.I've got the "apple on top" bowl, with that coal tray thing, and it's a godsend with these. I've been needing to take that off and shake it with the coals still in to get the ash to not block the holes at the bottom.Beyond that, these have been decent, don't taste too bad beyond the ash, and they burn for a reasonable amount of time.

They great for not only hookah but everything else as well! They’re pretty healthy when they’re lit!
