Great tool for strengthening knees
I love everything about the Goofboard. The packaging, the design, the use of sustainable materials. And of course the board itself is a ton of fun.My main purpose for buying the board was developing my balance for trials motorcycles. It is doing that but most of all it is strengthening my knees! As my leg muscles get a little stronger I am finding that my knees are doing much better. Specifically my PT had recommended some leg exercises including balance training for my patello-femoral syndrome and it appears to have been working. Of course it is low impact. With the training pegs in place I was able to do one leg balancing on the board (either standing sideways or facing the front of the board) and that has been the most helpful.

Love it. Tough, but lots of fun.
Really tough to use, but also pretty darn fun. It's also a pretty good workout. I'm sweating and exhausted after 10 - 15 minutes. There is a fairly steep learning curve to it, and you will not be riding it like Wingnut does on the first day you receive it. You need to be sure to buy the mat they suggest or have a carpeted area to use it on.

Excellent, but maybe slightly defective?
So very stoked to get this a few months ago, I've definitely been enjoying it. After a week or two of falling off a lot, I found the sweet spot and love staying on this thing for long periods of time. One thing that I'm a little frustrated with is that the board and roller migrate around the room, from my original placement in the middle of the living room, and five or six minutes in the board runs into the couch, so I have to get off and pull it back out to the middle of the living room. This isn't the worst thing, but it messes up my game, staying on for as long as I can without falling off. I contacted the company about it, and haven't heard back yet, but hopefully they'll get in touch with me about it. Maybe the roller is slightly warped? Hopefully they can help me to clear this up, at which time I will edit my review to five stars.

Therapuetic, aesthetically pleasing and super fun!
I got this because I have always wanted to surf, having been a life-long so cal girl, but I have severe spinal issues stemming from an old volleyball injury and so I thought this would be a good way to have some fun physical therapy and ease into surfing one day. I've never surfed, but I've done ocean swimming, and I do like how the motion riding it reminds me of waves. (I mean it's not the real thing but it's closer than when I rode my friend's indo board.) I really debated over all the different boards out there, and I'm super pleased with the choice I made :) Would definitely recommend to anyone else who wants to learn how to surf or just have a fun way to do physical therapy to strengthen after an injury. This is also very aesthetically pleasing- neutral-colored but made of quality materials, looks even better in person- and so I actually leave it out to be seen instead of putting it away as I had planned. I just got it yesterday and have already used it twice. It's tons of fun.

Awesom Surf Trainer!
This thing is just what I was looking for. I'm a surfer who wants to shorten the learning curve of stylish cross stepping to the nose. After just one session on the GoofBoard, there's no doubt that I've made the right purchase. It's made well with durable & high quality materials. Both the board & roller appear to have been designed to endure years of use.I've use other "surf" balance simulators and also made a few, from my experience, none come close to this one. Being that the Goofboard appears to have been the original product employing rail to rail balance & improving cross stepping technique, I was not interested in similar boards that have now jumped on this design. If you're looking to work on your cross stepping technique or a beginner just starting out, this one's for you.

Best gift ever!
I got this for my husband. He isn't a new surfer, but not yet experienced either, so this board is helping him build his core strength and balance. He says it's the best birthday gift he's ever received!

Love it!
This is a really fun product, I do recommend however that you try to keep your stance like you would on a regular surfboard instead of trying to use the stance suggested by the manufacturer, otherwise you might develop some bad habits. Great if you're like me, stuck indoors all winter long in the East Coast.

Super fun!
My kids (8 & 5) really enjoy balancing on the board-using the U locks, and I find that it's really easy to switch out this feature so that I can balance with the roll. I've been having a great time practicing in between the couch (soft place to land when I lose my balance) and a chair (sturdy support)... I haven't worked up the courage to practice without the training wheels... In any case, I'm really getting a lot of use from this board. When I'm finished using it, I just slide the board and roll under the couch.
