Doesn't like my Shimano MTB shoes
I bought these last year and put a few rides on them. They got muddy once. I cleaned and clipped in and couldn't pop out. Well, I went down. Super cleaned them up and reset really loose. Thought I had them working. Went to the bike park, came to a stop and couldn't twist out. I'm done with them at this point. Going to buy XT M8020's, I shudda known.....

Unbelievable pedal for the money. When these are available for $40 to $60 they're worth it At full MSRP I'd rather get XT or XTR.I got a year and a half out of my last set. They still work fine, but they broke because of a pretty gnarly pedal strike. These do have a lifetime warranty for defects and a year crash replacement warranty, sadly i was out by 6 months.

Works well for long rides
Easy to clip in and out of and spreads the pedal pressure across a good cross section of the foot to prevent hotfoot and other foot maladies during long rides. Anything works for 10-30 miles, but get over 100 miles and foot pain can be a show stopper.

Great in theory, but not for anyone who actually rides!!
Was extremely happy, but these things fell apart in less than 2 months! Also I've had two pair of VP pedals come with defective threads that ended up ruining threads in two cranksets. (One of which was a set ofXO carbon cranks) I'm not a novice who cross threaded these things in either. My suggestion is to spend the extra money and buy the XT pedals. Alright Amazon ball is in your court for selling me these.

Amazing Pedals
Fantastic easy to use pedals with a very respectable weight. I am on my 3rd set of these pedals and one of the pedals is now bad. Really just needs new bearings. I have well over 3000 miles and 4 years on that set. How long should pedals last? I would say I have gotten my money worth on these pedals. I'm still riding my 3rd set and they work flawlessly. Nice wide platform, easy to get in and out of. Really can't go wrong. I keep my second set for back-up. As long as you clean and re-grease these pedals periodically they will last for years and years.

Great Pedals!
I have had these for 10 months now. I ride 3 days a week. I weight about 200lbs. I bang these on rocks and I ride very aggressively. They have been great! No problems. Bearings are still running silky smooth. I love them. I was thinking of buying another pair....but I don't need to because the ones I have are still running perfect.
