This cream is a lifesaver for us. Our young child has always had sensitive skin, basically every product we tried irritated his skin. We were using only aquaphor and even that was bothersome, he said it hurt and was itchy. We brought him to a dermatologist who recommended Vanicream and gave us a sample, saying it is one of the most gentle things you can use, and also advised on really dry skin to always use a "cream" not a "lotion" or "moisturizer". The sample application went well, no complaints or talk or itch. Before the sample was finished, I came to Amazon to get a full size. I was pleased with the price! I expected it to cost more but it's a great value. The lotion itself is pretty versatile as I have been putting it on his face and body and have had zero issues or breakouts on his face, even though it isn't a facial moisturizer per say. Overall, the size and amount of product you get is good. I absolutely love this product. It has absolutely zero fragrance to it which is nice for the extra sensitive, and it also allows our entire household to use it. It isn't oily at all but it still a nice thick creamy feel to it. It absorbs into the skin quickly and quite well, again no residual oils or product. When we upkeep this, his skin is soft and no itching or rashes. It truly has been a game changer for us.

I bought this cream because I was looking for something new to try for aging sensitive skin. If you have very dry skin or you have sensitive skin, I do highly recommend this lotion. It works for the face and the body, and I do love an all-purpose product. For myself, I ended up going back to my regular lotion face and body lotion because it was a little too thick for me for the summer (I sweat easily), but perhaps I’ll try it again in the colder weather when the air is dryer and I’m not sweating just stepping out of the shower. I do think that it absorbed relatively quickly even though it may not feel like it. It is challenging to apply because it is thick and a little bit goes a long way. It requires a little extra massaging to get it into the skin, but it did its job moisturizing my skin. It is totally safe if you have sensitive or red-prone skin. I was using it on my face and my body and had no issues for the time that I was using it. I also think it is a good value for the money. Since a little bit goes a long way, the tub you buy will last you for a long while. My choice to go back to my original routine is definitely not because I think the product is faulty. I will continue to keep it at my bedside table and use it on my hands and feet before I go to bed.

I bought Vanicream while trying to repair a damaged skin barrier. My skin was extremely dry, irritated, sensitive, and reacting badly to a lot of products, so I needed something very simple and gentle. This cream ended up being one of the few things my skin could actually tolerate consistently. The texture is VERY thick, but surprisingly not greasy. I wouldn’t call it lightweight either, but it feels more comforting than heavy, especially when your skin feels dry and stripped. I mostly used it on damp skin after applying water or Avène Thermal Spring Water first, and it layered well with the rest of my barrier repair routine. Most importantly, it didn’t sting my skin and didn’t cause breakouts for me, which was a huge relief because my skin was reacting to almost everything at the time. I also appreciate how basic and versatile it is. It’s the kind of product that works well when your skin is overwhelmed and you need to simplify everything. I can see why so many people with sensitive or compromised skin recommend it. If I had to describe it simply, this feels less like a luxury moisturizer and more like a reliable “safe” product to keep around for when your skin barrier is struggling. Overall, really happy with it and will definitely repurchase.Great size for your money. A little goes a long way and this will last you for a long time. Staple in my house.

I had an allergic reaction to a medication that gave me extremely itchy hives. In between all the remedies I took to ward off the itch, I scratched, and ended up with dozens of small scabs all over my arms and back. The major issue has been resolved but the scabs remain hard and itchy, and they're too easy to mindlessly pick, especially when my skin is dry. This moisturizer is saving the day by smoothing out the bumps which reminds me not to pick, while also diminishing the itch and healing my skin. I'm looking forward to having nice arms again. This is the only product that worked out of several I tried. I'm very impressed, especially at this price.

The pump on this is defective and won't pump. Thank goodness I still have a working pump from another jar! Save old pumps in case this happens. I have allergies and fragrance sensitivity so I have used this cream for years and it's a good body cream. I guess it is a little greasy but not noticeabley so. It is easy to use when the pump works. It is definitely fragrance free, unscented. It's a good alternative if you can't deal with all the fragrance in the world.

Research shows that Vanicream products are free of chemical irritants which is why I purchased it. This cream has helped with the eczema on my hands. I like that it absorbs into the skin quickly to hydrate and moisturize the skin. It is non-greasy and doesn't leave a sticky film. I find that it has a lightweight consistency compare to the Aquaphora cream I used to use. The Vanicream provides soothing relief for my eczema flareups. This makes me happy. I recommend this cream for sensitive dry skin.

This definitely hydrates!!! I have to say that it is greasy but I don't care! I live in Arizona, so we need all the help we can get. It's worth it for what it does. I'm 46 and starting to see the inevitable wrinkles showing up, especially after I put in my makeup. Now, I put this on before my makeup and it helps it not crease. My wrinkles seemed to have disappeared. My skin is so soft compared to what it used to be like. Also, my daughter's eczema was so bad that half her arm was bloody, the crease of her neck, under her eyes, and the back of her legs were all scabbed over. I tried so many products for her and nothing worked. This!?!? Healed every last spot within a week. Completely gone I'm so happy. And she doesn't have any scarring!

This is a thicker cream so may not be suited for oily skin. But its amazing for dry skin. I use it on my kids since its so gentle and fragrance free.

The bottle is old, yellowed, and scratched. There is no clear indication of whether it is unopened or has been tampered with. Extremely poor packaging overall. BUT after using for 1 month I would say this is the best moisturizer I have used till now. Absolutely no allergic reaction (I have a very sensitive skin) but yes it's a bit thick.

Received the item neatly packed with no damage from Amazon US. It a little thick cream but that's good a little goes a long way. I use it for my face only. Before I bought this I read the reviews and most of them were about how the product came damaged so I was pleasantly surprised it came intact with no spillage whatsoever.
