Throws off the dit
Even though this is only 1/4th inch thick and fits in the heel, it is enough to throw off the fit of the rest of the shoe. If you are going to need an insert for extra cushioning better to get a full length or 3/4 length insole, and you will probably need to buy a larger size shoe or the insert will make your shoes tight. Unfortunately I thought my new Cobb Hill boots had enough heel cushion until I wore them a lot and plantar facsitis starting acting up...too late for me to size up for an insert.

Works good for me - Spenco Rx Heel Cushion Shoe Inserts (the green ones)
Spenco Rx Heel Cushion Shoe Inserts (the green ones). This is my second set. I insert these under my arch supports. I used to use the Dr Scholls FOAM heel pads, but the discontinued them a while back, and I hate the gel ones. Sorry I digress. These work well to put a little more cushion under my heel. They are not super soft nor are they contoured. But they work well to absorb a more of the walking impact and this helps my heel hurt less. I have sensitive heels and my arch is "sagging". Since my stash of Dr Scholls stuff ran out (bought a couple cases when they quite making them) I have been experimenting with different arch supports and heel cushions. One thing that I have learned is that everyone is different, so what works for me may not work for you, and what another reviewer hates may be perfect for you..One more very important thing: You need to wear any insert at least 1 WEEK to get used to it and see how well it does for you. This does not mean that if after an hour you can barely stand keep wearing them, but rather if you put them in and they are notinstantly perfect and all your pain is gone, give your feet time to adjust.

Great heel cushions--have helped me immensely
I love these cushions (I buy the small size as I have a small frame). A friend turned me on to them a few years back, as I'm subject to heel pain. These don't adhere, but they don't move all that easily either (because they fit well). They have spared me from heel pain because they provide a soft "bounce" as I walk--though they are actually fairly firm. My plantar fascia has even gone away, because my heel wasn't being regularly impacted. And if I have to be on my feet for any length of time for a walk or professional duties, these are a must. I tried longer insoles, other shorter insoles, this product is my one and only. I rarely review, but as I just went to Amazon to buy around my twelfth pair, I thought I'd repay the favor for such a great product and let others know about it at the same time.

Exactly what I needed
They work great. Thought they would be a bit thick but the cushion helps so much. Many nice looking dress shoes lack long standing comfort. I work many trade shows and these were a lifesaver. I think Iโll buy a couple of Velcro dots to just keep them in place. But they really donโt move around once my foot is in.

If insoles make your shoes fit too tight, this solves that problem
Tried these on for size and they feel great. originally bought sofsole orthotic insoles but it made my shoes fit waaaaay too tight to the point that it hurt my feet. i figured just cushion on the heel would suffice for my purpose of shock absorption for jumping when playing basketball. my knees are injured right now as well as my ankles and i think its from a combination of playing too many full court games in a row and wearing low quality basketball shoes (some flat bottomed fila's i had sitting around). I went and bought some better quality baskeball shoes (nike lebron 12's). I slipped these heel cushions right under the original insole and it feels good. don't know if i got the wrong size or not (i bought a large and I'm a size 11), but i had to cut it to make it more narrow as it was too wide for the shoe. overall, im satisfied with these.

Very Thin but Effective
These heel cushions are great. They are quite thin, so you really don't feel them in your shoes, but they provide a bit of cushioning and a bit of lift. I have one leg that is slightly shorter than the other, so I only where it in one shoe for the extra bit of lift. Has helped with back and hip pain.
