Its touch-sensitive board records the moves under the played piece and under the destination square of the move. Thanks to its 64 light diodes, you can see the coordinates of your moves and of those of the computer. Learn how to play chess whatever your level is! For children and beginners, learn how to play thanks to the 5 levels beginners, in which the computer incites the opponent to progress by deliberating giving up its pawns. For the most experienced, the Chessman FX also has an improvement mode, which indicate to the player if the move he played was optimal, and to attempt a new move after. Review: This was actually very good - The play pieces are quite small and light-weight and so care is required but they are big enough for comfortable playing. The ability to 'swap sides' when playing against the computer is a helpful feature, this accompanied by the The Usborne Chess Book Activity Book, was a good package for my Granddaughter as she is quite content to teach herself when I'm not around.

The play pieces are quite small and light-weight and so care is required but they are big enough for comfortable playing. The ability to 'swap sides' when playing against the computer is a helpful feature, this accompanied by the The Usborne Chess Book Activity Book, was a good package for my Granddaughter as she is quite content to teach herself when I'm not around.

It took me a few days to master use but persevering with instructions won out. I now play regularly. Pieces are light so get knocked over but if careful it’s fine and board tells you where they should be. It’s not that easy to beat but I’m not a great player and managing at easier levels.
