It was and is a Godsend. I love this heater!
This is my 1st infrared quartz heater and I love it and it pretty much saved my life this winter.I was skeptical but I took a chance and bought this one from comfort zone. And it was and is a godsend! I live in a very old house that's in poor condition and my landlords are beyond negligent. This winter the duct work to the furnace was damaged from rodents over the last year but they didnt fix the problem they just turned off the furnace and left me without any heat source, which is illegal but suing them takes time and I needed heat ASAP.Bear with me, the reason I'm adding that information is because this little heater is powerful and puts out a lot of heat. It is easily portable. I didn't have to keep wearing a parka and gloves in my own home.I can't use any heater that is a standard 1500 watts, neither ceramic or infrared, without the power going down. I found this one for a good price in the beginning of February when I had no heat and it was, on average, 21° during the daytime.I have been able to keep my bedroom and half the living room warm enough with just this one heater and it runs on both a 750 watt and a 1500 watt setting. I only use it on the 750 watt setting and it keeps me warm and warms my bathroom fast so I can take a shower.I cannot say anything negative about this, not just because I was under extreme duress, simply because it does its job and then some. The fan may seem loud to some but doesn't bother me at all. I can watch TV and listen to music and it doesn't distract me at all. I don't smell anythimg weird. I don't have any problems with it cutting on and off because of a wire or had any problems like what some people have said.I would have bought two if I could have afforded it this past winter. Even if it only lasts another year, I would buy another one in a heartbeat. I think it'll last longer than that. it is sturdy it's safe and it really puts out a lot of heat.As for the icing on the cake? It did not double my electricity bill like 2 very small ceramic space heaters did that I bought locally.Honestly, this one heater saved the day and night at a time when I needed it the most. Thank you Amazon and Comfort Zone!

Great little heaters! Our cats love them too.
We and our cats are very happy with these heaters! One of them is over a year old and still working as well now as the first day we got it. These little babies emit a lot of lovely dry heat - and very quickly too. They are surprisingly light and easy to carry and very cool to the touch. The third heater we purchased does rattle a little every once in a while but that's been the only little negative I can find. All in all, we love them.

Nice heater
I bought this to replace my old Costway upright quartz tube heater. THIS heater has a fan that blows for some reason. Quartz tube heaters are radiant heat so a fan is pointless. However it probably serves to move air inside the unit to control internal heat. Which is fine. But it is not silent. It clicks upon the heat cycle starting and then the fan runs until the heat cycle completes.I don't see the Costway anymore but it was SILENT. Was a decent heater. Lasted several years and then quit. So I bought this one. But since it bugs me, I opened the old Costway and found one of the wires in the base broke. Fortunately I have tools and know how to use them so I bought the correct insulated wire and got the old Costway working again for a while.Sure wish I could find another one of these that's silent. This looked promising on Amazon:Alera ALEHEQZ23 Quartz 13.25 in. x 10.13 in. x 23.25 in. 1500 Watt Tower Heater - White. It looks an awful lot like the Costway. "Heating Method Convection" ...that's the ticket...But at $75+ they've lost my interest. These should be $40-50 units and new insulated wire is cheap.

Too Noisy
It turns on and off too quickly and makes A LOT of noise doing it. I got no sleep at night. It also rattles when it very first starts. This is a replacement from one I bought at Home Depot which worked better at the same price $50. It does heat a bedroom and bathroom but didn't do much in my kitchen that's large sized. Might be okay during the day but the constant on and off is ridiculous. I had to buy a different heater from Lowe's. Can't trust Amazon vendors anymore with good quality. This gets a F.

Perfect. Heats the room and keeps my Doberman warm.
We live in an old uninsulated home. It is winter and it gets chilly. The room we use it in has a 12 ft ceiling with old sash/pully windows. We have central air/heat as well along with heat insulating/blackout curtains. My 4 dogs, especially our 2 Dobermans are very sensitive to cold so this little heater helps keep them warm as well as heat the room it is in. I like that it shuts down automatically if the unit gets to hot and if it gets tipped over it turns off for safety. It is a good quality product and would recommend it.

Great heater
Our HAVC Co. loaned us one of these while waiting for our 28 yr old furnace to be replaced. Kept a good size den warm for several days. Liked so much had to buy one after getting new furnace to keep a room far away from furnace warmer as well as basement playroom. Love the size as heat seems to radiate better. The cat fell in love with it. Would definitely recommend.
