Papanicholas Coffee Whole Bean Coffee, Breakfast Blend, 28 Ounce

For the record, I'm not much on flavored coffees. I bought this for my Sister who was visiting because she mentioned she liked it after buying it at Walmart or somewhere. First off, I find out that it wouldn't matter to her anyway because she always 'flavors' her coffees with "creamer" to the point of destroying the flavor of the coffee. Regardless of that, I personally didn't like it at all, with or without 'creamer'. Coffee is something that you just need to try on your own so, either buy it or not, but don't blame me if it's not your cup of tea.

I bought this coffee in serach of the elusive good decaf. You can mark this one as a total fail. This coffee is very disappointing to the point that I couldn't tell what I was drinking. It's almost totally lacking in flavor and aroma of any kind despite using a larger amount than I usually do to make a cup. It doesn't taste bad it just doesn't taste like coffee, closer to a very mild tea. I've tried many different decafs and I'd been drinking Seattle Best decaf for years (not bad but not great) and thought this would taste better. It doesn't. A waste of money. ln fact l wouldn't take this coffee for free simply because I would be wasting a chance to drink actual coffee. The search for a decent decaf continues.

It’s definitely oily and dark colored. Also tastes dark. Hawaiian coffee is very floral and should be a light roast for the flavor profile. This is obviously not 100% Kona, but whatever Hawaiian coffee is in here is roasted away to the point that it’s subtleties and floral flavors are gone. Just buy the cheapest whole bean from the grocery store and you’ll be better off.

I screwed up and thought I bought ground and not whole bean and had to find a grinder, but that's my fault.Coffee tasted amazing (which is something because I currently still can't taste or smell well).A buddy of mine turned me on to this coffee and it's delicious.Y'all should try this.

Like the light coffee not many brands have with caffeine. Light coffee is healthier (Dr. Oz) and does not have the bitter taste. The darker the roast the more bitter. Also if you have stomach issues light roast will not upset it like a dark roasted coffee. Really a win win win.

I love the special house blend and I ordered it twice at $5.71. When I went to order another bag I noticed that the price jumped up to over $17. That is nearly three times the price. Great coffee and if the price went down again I would purchase but there is no way I’m paying this much for coffee. Only reason for one star is the price. I would’ve given it five stars at regular price.

Have tried the French roast and Dark Italian espresso roast of PapaNicholas. Both are really great coffees. I use them individually and sometimes blend the two, and it's always great. I like that the coffee is strong, so I don't have to use too much. I feel the 10 ounce bag of PN is a better value than the 12 ounce bag of more expensive brands. I try different brands and alternate coffees, but PapaNicholas has a permanent place in my coffee rotation. So glad Amazon carries the brand because it is very hard to find in stores near me, especially whole bean varieties.

This of course arrived expeditiously (shipped via Amazon) was a great price and nothing objectionable as far as coffee goes. However it didn't have the vanilla/French vanilla flavor I was hoping for and expecting. It's a very mild vanilla flavor that I might not have identified as vanilla if I didn't know it was supposed to be. The coffee is still good just not with the flavor I was looking for.
