Authentic for sure!
These are the real deal. They smell great, and the box lasts a long time. I smudge with Palo Santo daily, and one box has lasted me a couple of months.I read the bad reviews and have been burned (haha, pun intended) by fake Palo Santo ordered online before. So I decided to research the company and the owner first. A quick Google search told me that this company deals exclusively with Peruvian and Ecuadorian products. That was enough to give me the faith to order. The bad reviews that said this kept going out and "what good is incense if you have to keep lighting it," are obviously unfamiliar with what the product is supposed to be. These are not incense sticks that you put in a holder, light, and walk away from. Palo Santo needs nurturing to continue burning. Once it's smoldering, you have to continue to blow on it to keep it going. When you're done, you just put it in a fire safe receptacle of some kind & it will go out on it's own until you're ready to re-light it again. This product is absolutely authentic, and all the reviewers who have REAL experience with REAL Palo Santo are correct. Someone who smelled it in their yoga teacher's studio is not an expert. Someone who doesn't understand how natural wood works is not an expert. The age of the tree, the part of the tree harvested, the weather and climate and specific location of the tree will alter the smell. Nature is not consistent, although the morons of the world tend to be, lol. These sticks smell amazing, and you can relight them many times. I am what you could call a "heavy user" and I got 2 months of daily use out of one box.I just popped onto Amazon to order some more and figured I'd take the time to sing my praises too!

Very satisfied with this purchase
Another update: best customer service I've ever received from a company. They sent me a replacement right away! I've even looked into buying in bulk. I go through and have tried a lot of Palo Santo but I'll never buy from any other seller now!Second update: this is the third time I've purchased these and all of the sticks were thinner than I'm used to. I received nine instead of 8 which was nice but I still feel like for the price, this is a little ridiculous. They smell great and burn well but I hate to feel like I'm being ripped off. Not sure if I'll be purchasing these again.UPDATE : after comparing these to some other brands I've tried, these burn extremely fast and smoke much more than what I'm used to. If you're using these as smudging sticks to cleanse a house, I think they'd be great for that. If you use these to meditate or as incense like I do you might find them to be too smokey and burn too fast.Very satisfied with this purchase. I received 9 instead of 8 sticks! They were all 4" long. I posted a picture with a clothes pin for reference. I was really worried at first that these were not the real thing. When first lit they do only smell like smoke, you can't smell that palo santo scent, so I was worried these wouldn't smell as good as what I usually buy. I did find though you just need to burn the tip a little longer. After that initial lighting they smell heavenly. Although I'm very happy with this purchase, I don't think i'll be buying this particular brand again only because these do seem to burn just a teeny bit faster than what I normally buy. Other than that these are perfect. For reference, I don't use these for smudging, I only use them for the visual and scent during meditation.

So far the best quality I have found in the past couple years
I started using Palo Santo when a crystal shop owner here in Chicago first started importing it back in 2014 and the quality was always very high really wonderful scent that lasted. But since about 2019 I have had very few sticks with that quality and these I bought are the best so far nearly as good as those "back in the day". Without doubt those trees from mid 2000's are long gone sold into markets and it seems that with the much greater demand now collectors are just taking any wood they can find and marketers for the USA buy without even inspecting or knowing what they are getting. Be aware that wood from Ecuador is different than from Peru where I see alot of wood coming from. So far to me the Ecuador is sweeter. Some other wood I just got from an online seller who has videos of her collectors in Ecuador and their wood has a very strong terpene spell but it burns with a too sharp an aroma not sweet. These sticks here I bought are as sweet as I have had in the past 5-6 years. But also be aware this is a natural wood and for sure each batch can be quite different I am just realizing this.

It's OK
I love the smell of palo santo so i ordered these. I received 9 sticks even though they advertise 8, so that is a win. I have used one stick so far, so this is based off that burn. The stick has a pleasant smell on it's own. Lighting it wasn't hard. Following the directions, I let the stick burn for about 1 minute and then blew the flame out. The stick smoldered for about 5 min and then went out. I re-lit the stick and it went out soon after. I don't know if there is a trick but it doesn't stay lit long. The scent smells pretty good. Overall, it is a decent option.
